Kucinich's Democratic Convention Speech (VIDEO)

Dennis Kucinich took to the podium today at the Democratic Convention and fired up the crowd with a rousing speech. Kucinich's enthusiasm reached a crescendo as he repeatedly exhorted the crowd with cries of "Up with America!" In case his words were not evidence enough of his fire, his body language put all remaining doubts to rest.

How do I stumble and stutter in text? I was gripped and speechless. I am angry. I am mad as hell. This little man carries the cajones of every democratic congressmen and senator (including mine, Mr. Ben Chandler). Every one of them that did not support impeachment of these silver-spo­on-sociopa­ths gave their's away to Dennis Kucinich. While they worry about being on the wrong side of popularity in their next re-election, Dennis is worried about an America in which they might be able to campaign.

In the early part of the last century, a large number of controlling industrialists in this country, actually plotted to take control of the White House (see "The Plot to Seize the White House"). Cheney and his NeoCons have very nearly succeeded. In the universe of American politics Dennis Kucinich is our North Star.

And Up with Impeachment of all the architects and enablers of the illegal invasion of Iraq. Kucinich has been the only voice out there on this. Highly undervalued politician not afraid to implore slumbering Americans to wake up to the reality of a McCain presidency.

Kucinich was GREAT! He is definitely one of my favorite dems and I hope Obama can find a good position for him in his cabinet. As somebody said, he is the "conscience" of the party. He has earned heroic status in my mind just for being one of the only senators to try and impeach the monster we have in office now. Excellent speech and I can just feel (and hope)we are all coming together.

find it interesting that Hillary's supporters will not vote for Barack in some cases even though John's agenda is not in support of them. They are sucking energy and focus away from the main thing in this process, which is to elect Barack or at least position him to run an effective campaign.
Please reveiw the words John McCain used on Jay Leno. Jay Leno asked why all the negative ads and Johns answer basically was "because Barack did not agree to do the town hall meetings". Now if you translate that into what if a nation, friendly or not, did not agree with his outloook he would launch an unwarranted assault. Where is the media analyst on this basic statement that reflects Johns outlook and style?

DC is awesome! Too bad he is too "left" for America in general (I actually voted for him). But he always stands by what he believes in. Very refreshing.
