Thank your for being you Michelle thank you for introducing America to America. To the divisive forces at CBS shame on you. Oh by the community organizer was that not what Cindy McCain did before she meant the McCain. Cindy should ask Lieberman to ask Sarah and Rudy to make a statement citing temporary insane at the same time.

Why can't HuffPo ever post a good photo of this woman? She is so much more beautiful than any photo I've seen on here yet. Other magazines seem to be able to do it...why can't they?

Why are people so hard and harsh on this woman? She's accomplished, intelligent, poised, warm, stylish, hard-working and obviously a loving mom, daughter, sister and wife.

Yet Cindy McCain, a pampered heiress, by all accounts, started off as McCain mistress, went on to become an addict that stole from her own company and thinks the ONLY way to get around Arizona is by private plane.

These women are NOT running for president but what is good for the geese is good for the gander.

Much ado about nothing called Michelle Obama!!! A nice evening dress, some make-up and a hairdo cannot turn a raven into a swan ... some well choreographed and prepared statements cannot override her true sentiments of dislike for her own Country ...

I don't like my own country sometimes. That's a right we have here, so get over it.

No, you must have Michelle mixed up with McCain's new VP.

Palin and her husband have a passion for group meetings pushing Alaska's secession from the union/US.

Now, who loves their country?

You are so groovy, baby.

Gosh, I just can't wait until BO gets elected. My life will be so much better with the federal government government taking over the oil companies and managing my health care. I just know it will.

Imagine a world where we are all equal and no more wars.

I just can't wait.

Great speech, great First Lady in waiting (and for those who are comparing Hillary's speech to Michelle's ... umm, Hillary was the CANDIDATE -- I sure hope she has more command than a spouse who's never held elective office, lol, and she DID do a great job too!). What a breath of fresh air compared to her GOP rival, who stole her husband from a disfigured first wife, stole drugs from her own charity, and stole her inheritance from her 2 half-siblings, not sharing a whit of her $100 Million windfall and cutting off their credit cards to boot. If you want to see a hilarious parody ... .check this out:

The real story here in Denver was Hillarys speech which blew Michelles out of the water with the applause she received! Afterwards my collegues and I were all wondering why Hillary isn't our nominee. I talked with some Delegates who said that they felt the same way. Many of them were following the orders of the party leadership when they originally voted for Obama but are now reconsidering especially when McCains numbers keep going up and Obamas keeps falling down. There are some serious meetings between Delegates to discuss all of these issues before the Roll Call tonight. Maybe Hillary will be able to cause a rebellion. We'll see tonight.

Hillary lost. She ran a very bad campaign. Too bad. We don't always win. That's life, kiddies. Here's what you get with McCain.

Higher deficits for US; more debt to China
Lower minimum wage
Less pay, less safety for the worker, greater wealth for the rich
No incentives for jobs to be in the U.S.
No Social Security benefits?

No habeus corpus, no protection from illegal incarceration of American Citizens, kidnapping/ torture, increased loss of personal privacy, more prisons, more Constitution raping.

Women will have no rights,Taliban style. We will have lower pay for equal work, no Roe vs. Wade, no legal contraceptives, no child care outside the home. Women will again die horribly from illegal abortions. More newborns will be murdered.

Crime will increase as criminal cartels take control of contraceptive sales. And the starving steal, mug, or burglarize to feed their families.

Since school vouchers are Republican"s way of siphoning tax dollars to evangelical schools and starving public education, our children will learn only right wing world visions and who deserves to live in it.
McCain"s ignorance of and right wing sexual obsessions about the Internet will create laws limiting its use.

McCain will reinstate the draft and a foreign policy inline with his antiquated warrior fantasies. McCain"s foreign policy naïvity will lead us to wars, perhaps WWIII. And the use of nuclear weapons.

Love your nation more than your ego, folks.

actually, i was there too and your response is nothing but divisive. both women did well and neither hillary nor her supporters plan to sabotage o bam a's candidacy. especially not after h illar y's speech. so stop misinforming people. on the other hand, h illa ry's loss is based on he rules and procedures of the democratic party's primary candidate selection process. neither oba ma nor hill ary broke any rules. o bam a won fair and square. if you are truly for the good of the country then stop this infighting. there is no need to keep a divisive flame going when we have much larger problems to solve. if you are just a troll, then carry on. thats probably all you can do.

WRONG -- What does the next First Lady's speech have to do with Hillary's speech. Mrs. Obama is NOT running for POTUS. There will be NO rebellion. So the choice is clear. Vote for the man who predicted TO THE TEE EVERYTHING WE WOULD BE DEALING WITH IF WE INVADED IRAN. HE PREDICTED IT ALL - THE MONEY, THE LONG STAY, THE CASUALTIES EVERYTHING. or vote for the out of control angry war monger who cannot remember how many houses he owns because he was a POW. Vote for the man that thinks universal healthcare is a trip to the emergency room. Vote for the man who sings family values while he cheats on his disabled wife with a barbie doll. Vote for the man who admits he knows nothing about the economy and whose whole platform is on war.

I remember when everyone was joking about John Edwards hair style costing so much. I wonder how much Michelle Obama paid for her style for the speech?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:01 AM on 08/27/2008

Her turquoise dress came off the rack and the sunburst pin came out of her jewelry box. It wasn't haute couture priced fashion, yet it was beautiful. Michelle Obama has great fashion sense; simple, affordable elegance. And I can't imagine she spends much more than the average black woman to get her hair and nails done. She's not Oprah.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:08 PM on 08/27/2008

How about this. JUST BREAKING, McCain wants to make the money YOUR company spends on your healthcare part of TAXABLE INCOME!!!! So you will now be taxed on the $6000.00 per year that your company spends and if you have to put some money towards it too you will be taxed on that also!!!

You must be a rich man, scott

You are so correct. I just know the Barack admnistration will be able to provide my family with a better life and lower taxes. Health care, college education, retirement, housing are all god given rights.

I agree with you 105.3%

Your comments show how little you know about Obamas policies. Oil companies wll not be taken over by the government. They will however make less money when Obama's alternative energy plan gets passed. Less demand means lower prices. His health care plan is nothing more than a large group policy making it more affordable for all to buy insurance. No socialized medicine. No government run health care.

Michelle Obama is really having her feet held to the flame....and it really is not fair.

Michelle is a strong, independent, patriotic, intelligent woman who is a good wife and mother. The stories and lies being told on the internet and even appearing from some Journalists who should know better, are appalling.

I do not see anyone out here questioning (at all) Cindy mcCain's patriotism.

.

So....the speech she gave was needed to show who Michelle really is....and in day to day life (not listening to the pundits and the media) she did great. I have not heard one bad reveiw from any co-worker or friend.

When Sasha and Malia were so excited to see their Dad and were saying "Hi Daddy" ....it made people also see Barack as just "plain old Dad".....not the celebrity that the GOP and McCain camp has made him out to be. I think his girls (all 3 of them) standing on that stage and doing the little "family" thing really made people look at what a happy little normal family they really are.

And as I said in a previous post....to see the look of pride on Michelle's Mom's face during her speech, actually made me cry.

My hat is also off to Hillary.....alot of what she said....and the way she said it....needed to be heard by her Supporters....not just a wink and a nod.....but a full fledged endorsement for Barack Obama.

Wonderful.....just wonderful! Michelle Obama did a great job! She's a sincere wife, mother and professional that I can relate to! I admire her and her achievements.

I thought CNN's critics were outrageous! I've stopped watching CNN!

CNN and the rest of the so-called "liberal" MSM brought us eight years of disaster. It isn't just these moronic talking heads who just like to hear themselves talk, it's journalists in general. I like to refer to it as the Gore-ing of Michelle. They Gored Kerry too. They Gored on TV, they Gored in print. They made sure that Al Gore who was the most qualified, and best choice overall lost.
Anyone of substance and intelligence is trivialized by the big media corporations because they know they won't have anything to talk about 24/7 like they do with Shrub. Their cable operations will dry up.Look at how they've spent this week trying to make the Convention a soap opera.
C-SPAN is always a good choice along with PBS and the websites such as this one. You are very wise to abstain from the MSM. Your blood pressure will be much better too.

Mike Barnacle was correct, the MOST influential (not the most IMPORTANT but influential) moment of these past four days may very well be when Sasha got up on stage and said , HI DADDY. I know when I watched it humanized Barack in my eyes instantly.

Yesterday, when Michelle was sitting in the back, with her hair tied, hardly any makeup and jewellary on, that was the first time I noticed her inner beauty and expressive face. That genuine expressive naked look took me aback....and admire .
