Pelosi To Protesters: "Can We Drill Your Brains?"

The Politico:

House Democratic leaders and protesters waving McCain signs had a war of words Tuesday at a press event outside an old train station. The demonstrators interrupted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with chants of "Drill here! Drill now!"

Pelosi paused and asked the group, "Right here?"

Seeming to enjoy the back and forth, she followed with another question: "Can we drill your brains?"

The reason Nancy Pelosi never attacks Bush/Cheney on all of the illegal activity the Bush Administration is because she signed off on all of it right along with most of Congress. If Bush/Cheney go down they won't go down without taking some of the senate with them. It's the worst case of our elected officials turning a blind eye I've ever seen in my lifetime. Why do we allow Bush/Cheney to take our tax dollars and use it to fund Blackwater(a private merc army). Congress agreed to it. Now how will we ever get rid of them. How could our leaders have actually bought into the idea of privatizing our military. I believe this will turn out to be viewed as one of the biggest mistakes in the history of the US. How about Haliburton being in charge of water purification ad instead they delivered contaminated water to our troops so they could save money. That "money" of course came from our tax dollars. Where are we in all of this. Sitting comfortably in ou lovely homes blogging. When is the last time we got off our keisters and hit the streets to protest. When was the last really large protest at the White House.

It baffles me why you would speak or even think ill of Pelosi. Every time I've seen her speak she speaks intelligently and passionately about the issues. I am also extremely puzzled and disturbed by the back-biting and vitrol of Clinton supporters vs Obama supporters and vice versa. What gives? It seems like the Democrats have this self destruct gene that is prepared to allow the Republicans victory when they the Democrats have every possible thing going for them. If Obama loses the Presidency it will not be because the Republicans ran a better campaign, it will be because Democrats self destructed in self loathing. I think America needs to sit down with a good therapist and figure itself out.
