Arkansas Didn't Mean To Go Unanimous For Obama

According to Rebecca Gwatney from the Arkansas delegation, the last line of the state's roll call speech was cut off by the Secretary. Instead of casting all 47 votes for Barack Obama, they only meant to cast 37, with 8 votes for Hillary Clinton. (Two of the state's 47 delegates were absent.) When the chair announced all 47 votes for Obama, many delegates from other states rose to cheer the state for their unanimous statement, which now appears to have only been a clerical mistake.

"It's no big deal," one Arkansas delegate told the Huffington Post.

Was NEEDED and the truer "carthesis" ....True, likely "co-ordinated as usually it is the preumptive candidates designated home state, but in allowing the center stage falling to NY and their Senator, it gave HER some redemptionary in the mindsets that have been more than a tad leery of ALL motivations and intentions and more. Next up is Bill, hope he can turn the CLICK WILLIE tag into a PLUS and be slickly in line and aligned with the election of Obama--it would be a great carthesis for him as well and do woners for HIS legacy !!! They might truly be able to have some actual UN-bittered relevency in the future of various "things", and that is intoned with sicereity which is what they could earn for themselves by rising up to the occasion, the needs of the nation and party as well.

I thought was classy. Usually when the "over the top" vote comes the state about to make it yields to the home state of the candidate. I wondered why New Mexico was yielding so soon, the Illinois yielded to New York.....

I like the sound of nominated by acclamation by the whole of the convention, Barack H Obama, the next president of the United States of America. Democrats have a custom of doing that; they put their candidate into the White House that way. It's a time honored Democratic tradition.

California and Illinois both passed, unwilling to cast a single vote either way. Every Democrat in those states who took time off from work or school and everything else, no matter how enthusiastic, no matter how many voted were just snubbed by their representatives. So much for party first.

They passed on the first roll call. Their purpose was to engineer that a particular state gets the honor of putting Obama over the top. My guess is that it is his home state of IL.

Cali passed because 20+ delegates had to go back to cali for votes so they had to bring in the back up people and they wernt ready to vote.

duh. The voting ends when one of the candidates reaches a majority. The big states pass so all the states have a chance to stand up and give a speech and cast votes. If CA casts their votes at their turn, Wyoming wouldn't even be able to get up and speak.

LOL, some still pouting and looking/seeking some sort of excuse or tother...Uh, please NOTE, Clinton KNEW THE RULES/SET UP AND RULES and agreed to them and be mindful, the C's have been rather intimately involved in the set up of the Dem party and its rules/procedurals/etc and helped to format them..Do remember, Tery McA was and reamins their close advisor/friend/etc and HE chaired the DNC..THE CAUCUSSES WERE SET UP AND AGREED UPON AND KNOWN ABOUT AND AGREED TO WELL IN ADVANCE !!!
