NEW PHOTOS: Brad Pitt And George Clooney Premiere Film, Talk Babies

VENICE, Italy - George Clooney and Brad Pitt: Bachelor and family man.

Inevitably, a news conference Wednesday promoting their new Coen brothers film, "Burn After Reading," turned to the birth of Pitt's twins with partner Angelina Jolie, and whether his good friend would ever settle down.

Clooney, 47, put on a look of mock bemusement.

"I am so surprised to hear that question. That is honestly the first time I have been asked that," Clooney said. "I am getting married and having a child today."

Pitt, whose brood has grown to six children with the birth of twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline last month, offered to share his children with Clooney, adding deadpan: "I'll have two more by next year."

The movie, which premieres Wednesday at the Venice Film Festival, is a tale about idiots _ and what happens when their worlds collide.

Pitt, 44, looked flustered as a Spanish TV journalist pushed her way to the front of the press conference dressed in red gym shorts similar to garb he wears as a gym trainer in the film. She asked Pitt if he would help her work out.

"It's a movie," Pitt reminded her.

"Would you run after me?" she asked Clooney and Pitt.

"I think we're more likely to be running away from you," Clooney replied to laughter.

Several times Clooney good-naturedly ran interference for Pitt, who was peppered with questions about his personal life. Asked about the infants, Clooney intervened: "The twins are fine," then joked that he and Pitt were sitting at opposite ends of the podium because of a restraining order.

And when another questioner asked if they would rather win an Oscar or fall in love with an Italian woman in Venice, Clooney warned: "Don't answer that, Brad."

Clooney in all likely hood is gay. Because he never has a lasting relationship with a woman. I think he adores Brad Pitt. I have a feeling he also was instrumental in bringing Brad and Angelina together, Jennifer Aniston probably was a lot more suspicious on Clooney then Angelina ever is. Having said all that, Clooney is ok in my book, and I wish he could really lead the life that would make him most happy. We still would watch his movies. Naturally it's hard to watch an actor romancing a woman in a film when you know he is gay.

Why are these celebrities rarely photographed in America? Are they still American citizens, or just come here to sell and promote their movies?

They are indeed photographed more here in the US of A. Since George Bush Jr. put everyone on the Patriot Act, celebrities leave the country to internationally protect their privacy. Invasion of privacy obstructs our constitution. Shall American forces put France in the electric chair of alternatives? They forget their own peasants as they lead an imperialistic regime. Lest we forget the more roads you travel the less lives you spare.

Hmm. I'm not crazy about the entertainment media either; but these two stars sound more & more like a couple of jerks. Brad Pitt especially. In the past decade, he hasn't said much worth reading ... and seems to be continuing that trend. An interview not worth press or public attention.

There was a TIme interview with a bunch of celebrity film stars (and maybe Lucus and/or Spielberg too) some years ago and it was insightful and funny at the same time. I forget why, except all these folks were participating in some event together.

I will never understand the need for these types of comparisons. I don't know who you are, or what you are so please don't reduce this to a race card throwdown. What you wrote sounds like it would be a problem should he tan more not because of the chance of skin cancer, but because his tone will become darker. Anyone is lying to themselves to not come away with that same conclusion.

Tilda is one of my favorite actors ever. TWith her hair like that and the gowns style and color, she really evokes the Greek goddess Themis to me. She almost doesn't look real! Its interesting that she and Cate Blanchett kind of move between movies in which Brad Pitt or George Clooney are in, or in this case both are in. Both actresses are in the upcoming Benjamin Button with Pitt.
