Cindy McCain's Half-Sister: I'm Voting For Obama

Cindy McCain's half-sister tells Us Magazine that she won't help put her famous sibling in the White House:

"I'm not voting for McCain," Kathleen Hensley Portalski tells Us. "I have a different political standpoint.

"I'm voting for Obama," the Phoenix resident says. "I think his proposals to improve the country are more positive and I'm not a big war believer."

Portalski's son Nathan, an aerospace machinist, is also backing Obama.

"I wouldn't vote for John McCain if he was a Democrat," he tells Us. "I would not vote at all before I'd vote for him.

"I question whether Cindy is someone I'd want to see in the White House as first lady," he adds.

Portalski went public with her connection to the McCains after hearing Cindy say on the trail that she was an only child.

"I'm upset," she told NPR. "I'm angry. It makes me feel like a nonperson, kind of."

"It's terribly painful," Portalski added. "It is as if she is the 'real' daughter. I am also a real daughter."

The Washington Post subsequently reported that Cindy has another half-sister who seems to have slipped her mind:

Before her marriage to Hensley, Johnson had a daughter, Dixie Burd, by a previous relationship. Burd, who is much older than Cindy, could not be reached for comment.

I don't hate, that's a Republican trait. However, I don't put up with bullcrap, ignorance, vanity, mean-spiritedness, and hypocrisy either, and that's all the McCain campaign has given me thus far. McCain shows no inclination to help a country in need, and we ARE in need. Last night, Obama showed a willingness to swing some of his policies to the center in the hopes that maybe this country can unify again. McCain calls anyone who disagrees with him un-patriotic, and his mean attitude apparently knows no depths.

I was just watching C-Span and you would not, or maybe you would, believe the out and out lies those people are telling. They have twisted every inch of Obama's acceptance speech and molded it into complete falsities.
I actually feel sorry for those people there because it's my opinion that most people don't watch BOTH campaigns. They get a basic opinion of who they want and then never watch the other side at all.
Those people are being lied to and they are either too dumb or brainwashed to realize it.
They have taken every one of Obama's policy issues and reversed what he said last night.
Anyone who could vote for a bunch of liars deserves what they get.

As someone who comes from a family where I have two half siblings I care very much about, I can certainly understand her being offended that Cindy called herself an only child.
