"Daily Show" Mocks MSNBC Infighting: "It's Lord Of The Flies On The NBC Roof!"

Wednesday night on "The Daily Show" — broadcasting from Denver during the DNC — Jon Stewart, Samantha Bee, and Wyatt Cenac mocked the infighting at MSNBC.

"It's Lord of the Flies on the NBC roof!" Stewart declared after showing video of the Olbermann-Matthews squabble.

And in response to Joe Scarborough's David Shuster smackdown, Stewart said, "Looks like the weather in Scarborough Country is partly bitchy with a chance of reer [hand gesture]!"

Bee and Cenac then engaged in some "Daily Show" infighting of their own.

I really like Keith, but there is no question he has a bias. I like Rachel too, but ya know... likewise on the bias issue. I like them both because they are smart, informed, and quite witty and entertaining. Do I wish sometimes they were a bit more neutral in their reporting? Of course. Does any of that matter? Murdoch doesn't seem to think so, and there's gotta be a balance somewhere. Logically, that would be CNN... but I just can't bring myself to switch. There's just something about CNN that makes me get all queasy and apathetic.

Joe Scarborough reminds me of the people he used to represent.­.. the wonderful panhandle of Florida. It's a lot like the Mississippi, but with an air of sun-bleached tourist trap superiority. I also get the vibe that's probably a really terrible tipper.

I love Keith and Rachel too. I could not believe how obnoxious Scarborough was, he wasn't about to let David Shuster get a word in, typical Joe response, yell louder and longer and don't let the anyone with a different opinion get a word in, he's more like Billo everyday.

MSNBC has literally become a national joke. Great job guys. And these folks were talking about Denver being another Chicago. Maybe on their set.

The situation is ripe for parody but I guarantee Saturday Night Live won't touch this with a 10-foot pole.

I didn't think that the Matthews/Olbermann "fight" the other night was a big deal at all. Chris rambled on a little longer than he should have. How would anyone like to be sitting outside a noisy train station all night. What a stupid place to put the anchors. No wonder they are on each other's nerves.
