That speech was as amazing as the man himself! I'm here in Nebraska and though it's been dark for a couple of hours, when Sen. Obama spoke it actually became light, the weeds in my yard disappeared, my bills all magically paid themselves and the pain I've had in my left leg miraculously vanished. Are we witness to divinity...or just a horribly overrated politician? I think the latter. Don't believe the hype--and HE'S ALL HYPE!

Perhaps you didn't hear the same speech I did. He certainly didn't promise to de-weed our yards and pay our bills. Is that what you heard? Seriously? I policy proposals, budget strategies and social platforms. I saw a presidential candidate laying out his platform. Where was the hype?

What makes you think he watched it? I don't think that most Republicans watched it, they just have canned smears and responses. That answer was a little of "he's a messiah" mixed with "he's a celebrity". See, even I can write a good smear because of the recipe that the RNC provides!

did the video say he was born in Hawaii and lived in Indonesia? it seemed to miss that. also, no mention of his stepfather. why? if you got a first view of obama from the video it would seem that he is from the midwest. weird.

Hawaii is one of our 50 states. No, I'm not kidding! Yeah, it has lots of brown people, but I'm serious. Go look it up! It is an actual state! Amazing, huh?

Also, I have lived in Japan and Korea (business related). So am I less of an American because of it? Phil Gramm's wife Wendy is Korean. Is she less of an American? And what of our foreign service people?

it's just that he did not say what state he was born in and that he lived in
Indonesia. it left the viewer with the impression that he is from Kansas.

this was something he touted in the campaign. that his childhood in Indonesia
gave him foreign policy experience that he claimed was superior to Hillary's
experience.

now that narrative is not present. why? I don't have a problem with his life. he has
the problem with his life. and that is weird.

And your point is......Hawaii is part of the United States! And what if he lived in Indonesia, I'm American and my daughter was born in London, England and we lived there and in Germany - so what! Is that the best you can come up with. As for his stepfather, he hardly mentioned his own father!! - PLEASE!!!

Personally, I know a lot of people who never mention their stepfathers and they're moms lived with them more than 4 years.

It's nice to see the right wing grab at anything! They have nothing to run on except failed policies so they need to tear down the opponent. that, and blame everything on Clinton.

Obama only lived with his step father for 4 years until he was 10 then his mother divorced him, then he moved to Hawaii with his grand parents and they raised him.

Obama was born in Hawaii, his mother and father both attended the University of Hawaii,. His father went to another University with a scholarship leaving Obama and his mother.. Hawaii became a state in 1960. I remember the day. I was in the USAF, many of my buddies congratulated me saying now your a citizen... I had to laugh. Hawaii prior to Statehood was a US territory, which makes any one born there automatically a US citizen...

Yes. It was definitely him. I have a bizarre skill for narration voices. I have a tendency to yell out names when commercials come on. Annoys the heck out of my girlfriend. Now if only I can make some real use out of it. ha.
