Politico:

Annoyed by all the mind-games and leaks meant to divert attention from their candidate's long-anticipated acceptance speech tonight, Barack Obama's campaign is hitting back this afternoon and accusing their counterparts of playing political games.

"Tonight would be political malpractice," Obama communications chief Dan Pfeiffer told Politico. "It's one more piece of evidence that the McCain campaign is a war room masquerading as a presidential campaign."

Pfeiffer did, however, call McCain's bluff.

CNN just interviewed Kay Baily Hutchinson about Sarah Palin

Hutchinson said, "I don't know any thing about her [Paulin] and that might be a good thing."

Hutchinson went on to say, "I don't think people in Washington know her - She doesn't know her way around Washington and that might be a good thing."

Is that so Sen. Hutchinson? Didn't the GOP criticize Obama for "not knowing his way around Washington?"

But, in Palin's defense. She has been a Governor for 2 years. Maybe the criminal probe on her, in Alaska, was dismissed?

If Mac picks Palin or Lieberman, it's going to be an interesting year.

Well as it turned out it wouldn't have mattered anyway. McBipolar could have chosen Pamela Anderson for his running mate and the media would have run it on a crawl for two mins and never left THAT speech!

what Obama should said was, "Most Americans are better than this......then there is the GOP"

Baracks Speech was great democratic red meat. Im sure he spoke to the hearts and minds of hillarys people. By the way did anyone hear Chris matthews of msnbc? He basically endorsed barack obama on air. Whats up w that? Anyone who thinks NBC is unbiased is smoking large amounts of crack. Did anyone else read in the FargoPhantom.com “Barack Obama The Mile High Messiah in Denver?”
Lets see what the Goverment Channel has to say at FOX News tonight. Looks like a successful Speech and will prove to be a strong force of change.

Chris Matthews has been pretty open about his preference for Obama, this isn't news. And, where were you about 5 years ago when MSNBC canned their highest rated show (by liberal Phil Donahue) and hired two worthless conservative smacktards in the form of Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough? They were willing to run their numbers into the dirt to be Faux News Lite.

Oh, I suppose there are a few people who still care who McCain picks for his running mate. On the other hand, there are a whole lot of people who just plain don't care.

Whoever he picks, it won't make up for all of McCain's flaws.

A failed presidency.
A failed candidate.
A failed political party.

The neo-cons have ruined what used to be a pretty good group of people.

Of course there goes the Obama campaign again "Teacher, Billy did a bad thing!" What a tattletale campaign, they whine about everything. Nice Greek temple, how much did supporters shell out for that?

Of course, there goes the McCain campaign again "No one is looking at me so I need to make a scene". The only reason McCain announced he made his decision on Wednesday was to try to deflect attention away from the Democratic Convention. That move reeks of desperation and should be called out.

McCain, I mean Rove, figured out it would not compete with this event and would have been a total flop.

I wish he would've announced his VP. The crickets that would've been chirping in the room would've been hilarious! No one really cares. I can't wait to see the difference in viewers for each convention.

So is the Republican Convention going to be held in a high school gymnasium in Minnesota? Because I hear that's the only thing they can fill these days.

I actually feel sorry for John McCain - it was magic this week in Denver and ended with a magnificent speech by Barack Obama to 75-85,000 people. With republican congressmen opting out of their convention the Minnesota party could be a big flop.
