Obama Challenges Radio Station For Airing Ayers Smears

Just hours after Democrats formally nominated Barack Obama for president, his campaign launched a call-in offensive to WGN radio to protest the appearance Wednesday night of a conservative Obama critic on the "Extension 720 with Milt Rosenberg" talk show.

"WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears," Obama's campaign wrote Wednesay in an e-mail urging supporters to flood the stations phone lines with complaints. "He's currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers."

Umm it was the Woods Foundation, called Woods because it was started and run by that family.
The Woods Fund of Chicago's current President is Deborah Harrington, who served on former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar's Taskforce on Human Services Reform.
The Fund focused on welfare reform, affordable housing, (why Ayers was on the board)the quality of public schools, race and class disparities in the juvenile justice system, and tax policy as a tool in reducing poverty.
Obama was asked to join because it has a Community Organizing program that finances the formation of grassroots organizations, staffed mostly by volunteers, that attempt to shape public policy through activism. Really a little Google goes a long way. Neither Obama nor Ayers were COB's, pr anything but members trying to help others less fortunate. But lets cut them off at the knees that is more like Republicans.

Obama has very few if any skeletons in his closet, so we will try and convict him with conjecture using the "guilt by association" approach, whether anything can be substantiated or not.

That's the point of Stanley Kurtz going on the radio show, to discuss what he found in the files. If you (obama) have a credible argument against what might be said by kurtz (and remember, obama was there at the same time as much of the information in the files was created, he should know) then you go on the show and defend yourself.
