Rove Versus Lieberman: Rove Tried To Kill Lieberman As VP Pick

Politico reports that Karl Rove tried to pressure Joe Lieberman into withdrawing his name from consideration as John McCain's running mate:

Republican strategist Karl Rove called Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.) late last week and urged him to contact Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to withdraw his name from vice presidential consideration, according to three sources familiar with the conversation.

Lieberman dismissed the request, these sources agreed.

Lieberman "laughed at the suggestion and certainly did not call [McCain] on it," said one source familiar with the details.

"Rove called Lieberman," recounted a second source. "Lieberman told him he would not make that call."

The New York Times reports that McCain has decided who his running mate will be and will announce the decision on Friday.

The reason that Rove didn't want Lieberman as Vice President had nothing to do with
politics. It's just the Jpe's jowls, irritating voice and dumpy appearance didn't arouse in
him any of the thrill he felt when he first clapped eyes on George Bush. I am sure he is
only in McCain's corner because he keeps referring to a photo of a much younger, pre-
Pow Johnnie that can bring you his most Machiavellian machinations. If he should lose
that photo, watch how quickly he will turn on John.

Anyone the Bush/Rove people are pushing is highly suspect. Gives you the idea there is something terribly wrong with Romney if he is acceptable to these criminals. After Cheney, I want an honest, decent man/woman in the White House. Joe Biden is wonderful!!! Lieberman isn't that bad and it makes him more appealing given the fact that Rove wanted him to back off. Wouldn't be surprised if McCain has not forgotten 2000 and gets back at Rove for his smear job. What goes around, comes around and if the axiom proves true, Rove will end up finishing Siegelman's 7 year sentence.

Seeing the criminal Rove in jail would be too wonderful!!!! Actually seeing them all in jail would be a dream come true.
