Sorry Hillary, but the first female president of the United States will be a 44 year-old one term governor from Alaska. (Seeing as how a "President McCain" is certain be assassinated by a facial mole.) McCain's veep selection, Mrs. Fields' look-a-like Sarah Palin, forces every American to ask him/herself, why aren't I running for president?

Who is this "hockey mom" of five, and what does she believe, besides that "Trig" is an appropriate name for a child?

Drats and damn those Republicans for choosing Sarah Palin instead of Miss Piggy.

What's wrong with them? :)

Palin is certainly from an ordinary background - dad a schoolteacher, mom a school secretary. So she should understand the common person's concern - the common person who is white which is 70% of the electorate unlike Obama's understanding of the black community in Chicago which is about 10% of the electorate. As for experience, she does not have much but neither does Obama other than running for President! She has at least a bit of executive experience, Obama has none, zilch. And for Biden the only experience he has is debating in the Senate. What did he do before that. McCain has the experience of being in a foreign war and prisoner for 5 years. He understands the stakes are more than flower arrangements in the Senate!!

Interesting. By your logic since I am a veteran of a foreign war and was a prisoner of war, I too am qualified to be president. Thank you. I accept. And since I have even less experience in politics than Palin, I'm a shoe-in. Thank you again.

Obama's net worth is about $750,000 as reported in the news.

How does that make him a millionaire or "many times over" a millionaire?

I am shocked, offended, and afraid. I can not believe that Senator McCain thinks so little of the safety of the citizens of America that he would pick an unqualified person to be his second in command. This woman could possibly have the power to make decisions that could cost all or some of us our freedoms, our security, our safety.

Although I am a Democrat I followed the Republican campaigns this year as well. I can understand when people initially questioned Senator Obama. Who is he? What are his beliefs? We have had over a year to learn who he is, his beliefs, his management style, his behavior under pressure, his ability to interact with other leaders, etc. For many people one year is not enough. One year on the campaign trail and his history in public service will not do. Okay, I get it.

But how on this earth can it be acceptable that with 60+ days left on the campaign trail is it acceptable for an unvetted, unknown, unqualified soccer mom to have control over the United States of America? I am not a Republican but I am sure that there are so many more qualified female Republicans with extensive resumes, thoughtful perspectives on foreign policy, domestic policy, healthcare, the economy, etc. How can anyone pretend that this cruel joke is acceptable? This is our lives, our security! Everyone is afraid to question her b/c she is a female. This is horrible.

Sarah who???

Is this really the most qualified woman McBrainless could find in the entire republican family?
If I were a female republican who had dedicated my life and work to the "party" I would be so pissed by this brainless choice of Vice Presidential candidate I'd switch parties to help get the dems elected to protect our contry from such idiotic actions.

Take this as an example of how Jonh McBrainless's head functions.Just imagine who he might staff his cabinet with. Let your imagination run wild.

Palin campaigned for Pat Buchanann in 1996.

Here are some famous quotes by Mr. Buchanann:

Does Palin Agree with them?!

I am a Clinton supporter, a long time Dem who voted for Jackson in the 80's, an older white women with a post grad ed. I'm a proud Scots Irish, English, Swiss Ohioan who comes from a long line of farmers and factory workers, a couple of whom named their children George Washington. I voted for McCain in the Rep primary to stick it in the eye of Bush. I became a Clinton supporter during the primary after learning how tough she is. I considered voting for Obama until I heard the blackmail and threats from his supporters and how delicate and painfully gutless Obama is. Obama is a born politician, which means he hides in plain sight. Obama morphs like an undercover spy from "Get Smart". He is more "entitled" than Bush and has had more doors opened for him. I like Biden and looked at Obama again after he wisely named Biden veep. Biden might have been able to pull me into voting Dem again, that is, until McCain named Palin. The Maverick is back and he has steel "you know whats" I could kiss McCain . Palin could be my daughter. Talk about the American dream!

Ronny:

You must be kidding. Bush grew up the son of a millionaire.

Other than being basically nice people, the only thing Palin and Clinton have in common is their sex. If that is your rationale for voting McCain//Palin, you should ask for a tuition refund.

Thanks for explaining your position. You are a feelings voter. You don't vote for the issues you care about, but how a candidate makes you feel. If Palin makes you think of your daughter and she makes you feel good about women, then that's fine, but you do know that while you jumped from one woman to another, you also switched to diametrically opposed sides of the most important issues facing us today. Do you know that? Does it matter to you?

**correction** If your ideology "does" line up with Sarah Palin's, then you could not have been a true Hillary supporter.

So you're saying that your ideology lines up with Gov. Sarah Palin's ideology? LOL!! If it doesn't then that means that you COULD HAVE NOT BEEN a true supporter of Hillary. Hillary's ideology and Sarah Palin's are complete opposite. Sarah Palin, is heavily involved in a far right-wing pro-life group called "Feminists For Life". Their underlying goal is to overturn Roe VS Wade. They don't believe in abortion, at all! Furthermore, they already have their supreme court justices in place, that will aid them in their cause.

Do you really think that someone who claims to have voted for Jackson and is thrilled at the choice of a VP who denies global warming and evolution is capable of rational argument?

If she is willing to identify herself as a feminist, I like that.. Corporations own both parties, anyway. That is how we got Nafta and Japanese automakers and I can't buy American goods to save my life! Obama wants to change America; I want ihe personnel in the government to change, not America. I want America to grow strong and to prosper. I want Americans to stop the self hatred that is seeded by the enemy. Obama and the Dems have become the modern day Tokyo Rose.

A Creationist Cheerleader with No Foreign policy or National Security experience who was ardent campaigner for the anti-semitic Pat Buchanann in 1996 should NOT be heartbeat from presidency.

Thank God for George Bush and Sara Palin, they have won the election for the Dems. Bush was correct when he said that he was not a divider but a uniter he has surely united the Democrats. Without George Bush, there would not be a Barack Obama.
