How sad is it that McCain is so desperate for Hillary's voters that he asked nominated such a horrible candidate? Palin is such an oxymoron in that she herself is against women's rights but she is running for vice president instead of staying at home with her baby. A baby which i believe she doesn't want because she knew he has down syndrome. What kind of idiot gives a speech after she goes into labor and then gets on a plane after her water breaks KNOWING that it was a high risk pregnancy, UNLESS she was purposely trying to get rid of it?????

I wonder if the story about Palin's new baby is true--that her 16 year old daughter has been absent with "mono" from high school for months. Palin says its her baby at 44--and maybe it is. But, if the absence is true, maybe it isn't. (She didn't look pregnant to me at 7 months).

She is completely UNqualified. McCain may win with this insulting choice, but he's an idiot.

There is an unsubstantiated rumour that the daughter might be the real mother of the child, and that Palin might have faked her pregnancy to protect her own daughter and grandchild. Sound like a plot from *Desperate Housewives* to me. Whether or not this turns out to be true, which I doubt, it does make you wonder why they would allow Palin"s daughter to hold the baby when people are talking scuttlebutt about who the child"s real mother is.

Americans are a little dim on geography and history, particularly the media, so let me help you. Russia was in Alaska before us and still consider it theirs--it's closer to them than the lower 48. Whatever else, he is tweaking Russia with this, in effect rubbing in the encirclement scenario by putting Alaskan influence and priorities front and center in his campaign.
