palin has no mind of her own and mccain likes her that way. how's this for unchristian - in january palin was on an alaskan radio show where she laughed like a little school girl when the DJ's criticized a rival of hers who survived cancer calling the woman "a cancer" and the b-word. the alaskan people didn't like it very much and neither should anyone with half a brain. she comes across as an airhead cheerleader giggling just to appease the jocks. very unprofessional and immature. it seems like palin believes that you have to be a b i m b o or the boys won't like you.

"Experience?

For starters, we'd say Governor Palin's credentials as an agent of reform exceed Barack Obama's. Mr. Obama rose through the Chicago Democratic machine without a peep of push-back. Alaska's politics are deeply inbred and backed by energy-industry money. Mr. Obama slid past the kind of forces that Mrs. Palin took head on. This is one reason her selection -- despite its campaign risks -- seems to have been so well received by Republicans yesterday. They are looking for a new generation of leaders."

Experience?? The only experience Palin has is to count how many bear traps have been set tonight!
Oil revenues coming into Alaska give them an ongoing stream of money. It's not hard to balance a budget when you have money pouring into your office. Have her come to California, a real state and balance our budget, I'd be much more impressed with her. Alaska? Come on now. With all due respect get real!

LOL! He's a class act. Maybe it's just me, but he seems "bigger" in stature now. His voice, presentation, everything.....I think he's simply coming into his own.

And he and Joe are great together. I saw the huge crowd they pulled in on in Ohio today and I enjoyed watching them. I figured they'd work, but I didn't think they'd have the chemistry that they seem to have. Love them!!

Meanwhile, there's zero chemistry between McCain and Ms. Palin. I watched them today and scratched my head.

Her speech was word for word exactly like yesterday's. Understood that she needs to be introduced, but will she do the same speech at every stop? No substance!

She comes off like a "shrill" cheerleader. 18 Million "hard" cracks in the glass ceiling, etc... I am a reformer... Good 'ol boy's club... I fought corruption where I found it...

Where's the Beef?

OLOvers be consistent; I know its hard because of all the koolaid you drink. If you really believe experience counts first you should email Obama and tell him to swap positions on the ticket with Biden.

the attention given to experience now is a reaction to the drumming mccain has been doing for a while now. since experience has been so important to McCain up to now, the VP pick seems to be a one of poor judgement.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:14 PM on 08/30/2008

Judgement does trump expereince! and the first most important judgment McCain made was to put someone under investigation in her state and who says she's not to concerned about what happens in Iraq... We all know Obama's international relations expereince in the senate highly outweighs Palin's 2 years governing a state with less people than Obama's home town and a few years as mayor of a town of 6000 people. 6000! 18 million people stood up to say they thought Obama was expereinced enough to be president, enough said.

The Democratic party has a lot of gravitas. Obama and Biden are the kind of serious guys I want to see on the world stage.

When the American people made George W President; and IF Americans, this time, would vote for McCain and Palin is like telling the world that Americans are stupid.

And Americans are NOT stupid. Which is why you guys should start voting Democrat this year if you don't want to become the laughing stock of the world for another four to eight years.

Thanks for asking the question that people not from America are really trying to figure out. It seems like a total no brainer. In fact, the pairings appear awfully unfair - like watching an all-star basketball team playing against contestants featured on the "Biggest Loser" learning to play the game for fitness. Could it be sympathy votes? It seems completely obvious where both talent and competence lies. How can anyone even consider a 72 year old man who doesn't remember how many houses he owns or who the Americans are fighting in Iraq - with a high-pitched failed beauty queen ready to take over the country should anything happen to him? Compare these two to Barrack and Biden and the polls are mind-boggling. Truly.

At least half of america is quite conservative.

Dem occupation of the WH has been low the last 40 years. WJC was the last Dem to be elected for 2 terms. Bubba won because he was a moderate, he could bring enough southern states his way. The Dem before him was a total disaster, the gadfly Jimmy Carter. Before that, Lyndon Johnson, another disaster.

Obama is trying to serve multiple political segments: his own ideology, the Dem left wing, centrist Dems, and conservative independents. Its a juggling act with mized results.

My 2 cents.
