Palin In Pennsylvania: ''It's Great To See Another Part Of The Country"

The AP reports on McCain and Palin hitting the trail in Pennsylvania:

McCain and Palin made a morning stop at Tom's Diner in Pittsburgh's trendy Southside neighborhood. The running mates, with spouses in tow, greeted patrons and posed for pictures. Palin's daughters Willow and Piper were also on hand, with Willow carrying Palin's 4-month old son, Trig.

The first-term Alaska governor told reporters she was having fun in her new role. "It's great to see another part of the country," she said. She also said she'd managed to get a little sleep during the night.

Tom's dinner in Dormont Pennsylvania seats 36 and almost filled to capacity when news travel McCain and Palin were there. PA is definitly shaping up to be Palin country.

For almost 8 years now the GOP has known that Cheney was not going to run and the best they can offer after all that is John McCain and the best McCain can offer is Sarah Palin. After the thumping they took in 2006, and the subsequent loses in special elections one would think they would start to understand their brand of politics is obsolete. Their bridge to nowhere is nothing compared to their bridge back to the 20th century. It's obvious they think We The People are just going to "trust them." That's the biggest joke of this whole election cycle. Time marches on and the republicans march backwards.

The word airhead comes to mind when you see an interview with someone as cluless as Gov. Palin. She is held up as a smart, capable govenor and feminist with savvy executive experience but she does not have a clue about the role of the US Vice President. Do they teach Civics in Alaskan schools?
