Palin In Pennsylvania: ''It's Great To See Another Part Of The Country"

The AP reports on McCain and Palin hitting the trail in Pennsylvania:

McCain and Palin made a morning stop at Tom's Diner in Pittsburgh's trendy Southside neighborhood. The running mates, with spouses in tow, greeted patrons and posed for pictures. Palin's daughters Willow and Piper were also on hand, with Willow carrying Palin's 4-month old son, Trig.

The first-term Alaska governor told reporters she was having fun in her new role. "It's great to see another part of the country," she said. She also said she'd managed to get a little sleep during the night.

She reminds me of the occasional Flight Attendants that I might work with on a flight, who don't quite know how to modulate their voices on the PA. It becomes this ear-piercing, high-pitch thing that I can see passengers looking like they got zapped by a taser or something. I've seen them actually put their hands over the speakers above them or over their ears. IN all fairness to Flight Attendants, we can't hear ourselves in the din of the airplane noise, so I suspect that I am guily of it, too. But most of us are aware that we need to modulate accordingly. They try to teach us that at the "Charm Farm."

But, unlike a flt. att., unable to hear herself in the din of a pressurized cabin, Palin should have been able to listen to herself on tape before now. Sounds like a little girly voice instead of a 44 year old woman.Now let's all cheer!

if any of you have been listening to the right-wing talk radio nuts, they are are overjoyed at McCain's pick. (at least that's what they say to their listeners, i think they are calling McCain a dumb-a** in private). They talk as if Palin is the best thing since sliced bread. They say the dems are scared, and that this was a brilliant move. I think McCain's campaign is downhill from here. His judgement was clearly clouded, he simply let politics get in the way, and chose Palin on a whim.
