Palin Repeatedly Professed Desire To Renew Federal Funding For 'Bridge To Nowhere'

During the unveiling of his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) tried to cast her as a "reformer" and "fiscal conservative." She boldly claimed that with regard to Sen. Ted Stevens's (R-AK) infamous "Bridge to Nowhere," she told Congress, "Thanks, but no thanks":

Obama = Harvard U. Graduate, Head of Harvard Law Review, Attorney at Law, Community Leader So. Side Chicago, 7 years State Senator, 2 years Federal Senator with several major bipartisan bills passed, including health care for Veterans.

What I find so laughable is that they seem to be suggesting that somehow she is at least as qualified to be POTUS as Obama.

He taught Constitutional Law and University of Chicago. That alone may not qualify him to be POTUS (he has many other experiences, skills, education etc that do qualify him), but teaching Constitutional Law at Chicago ALONE makes him more qualified than someone whose education consists of an undergrad degree in Journalism (telecom) from Idaho. I do not mean to disrespect people who have a similar education, I am just saying that the amount of it takes to get a BS in Foreign Relations from Columbia and a Law degree from Harvard (President of the Harvard Law Review) and then teach Constitutional Law at Chicago?!?!?! Huge amount of work and EXTREMELY intelligent. Palin isn't close.

I actually hope that no one pounces too hard on Palin for now -- until she is officially nominated and accepts at the convention. THEN it's time to pounce. For now, some excuse can be made and she could back out (or be backed out by McCain's handlers).

After she's official, Obama's campaign should turn up the heat. Also, then the media can take part in what it loves to do all too often -- build her up, then tear her down.

Palin may be what Alaska needs to clean up their mess, but the US needs Obama and Biden.

You make a good point but I'm still waiting for the the GOP to do a 11th hour switcheroo and drop McCain like a hot potato, I figure about October. Of course it won't be obvious, McCain will probably claim he has a health problems, and they will have to replace him. Or he might say he wants to spend more time with his family kind of like when Companies Kick CEO's to the curb.
