What's wrong with CNN and MSNBC? All I hear about Palin is McC surrogates getting away with saying how popular she is and how she has more experience than O. I'm not kidding, every time someone tries to say anything honest abt her experience vs. O's, they get cut off.

What's strange is that i live in a conclave of Reps and they all think McC lost his mind. But they media is full od pundits who think she has energized "the base". Wherever they are....

I hope the bridge lie starts to get exposure.

Alaska State Senate President Lyda Green (R): “She’s not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president? Look at what she’s done to this state. What would she do to the nation?” (Green is from Palin’s home town of Wasilla.)

Alaska House Speaker John Harris (R): “She’s old enough. She’s a U.S. citizen.”

Please notice the (R) by their names.

LET NO ONE WORRY ABOUT PALIN. Obama knows what to do. He is a great strategist. It took a strategist like him to beat Clinton during the primaries. That was a feat in itself and everyone in the media thought his candidacy was a joke because almost every American thought that Hillary would be the inevitable choice. He proved ALL of us wrong.

Let's face it: Hillary is a greater challenge than Palin. And Hillary is behind Obama now. And Palin is NO Hillary.

Hillary and Obama are not attacking Palin right now. Let's wait and see.

In the meantime, let us be concerned about those who would be affected by Gustav. They need our prayers.

I heard Palin wanted the bridge to nowhere to be extended to Russia so she could bone up on her fantastic foreign experience....Russia being so close and all.

Fact Check: Bridge To Nowhere

In October 2005, Republican Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska .....opposed diverting the Gravina and Knik Arm Bridge funds to help aid recovery from Hurricane Katrina. In his speech on the Senate floor, Stevens threatened to quit Congress if the funds were removed from his state..............Congress dropped the specific allocation for the two bridges, but the amount of money appropriated to Alaska remained unchanged............Although the project and its excessive spending was initially supported by Alaska governor Sarah Palin, she later reversed her position and canceled it on September 21, 2007, because the federal government would not pay for all of it.

This just proves why the republiC0ns need to implement a true VETTING process. Upon her National introduction, 1) she's caught lying to us and points out how dangerous she will be to us on the National/International priorities; and 2) McOgler proves how easily he will gamble with (RISK) our lives and that he has NO good judgement or "experience"!!!!

WOW!!! This "woman" hates wolves, bears, victims of r a p e & i n c e s t, poor women & children to have adequate health care and education! But, boy how she loves, big oil & oil slicks, the earmarks that McCrash hates, government intervention into a woman's private BODY/HOME making sure to keep us all in the kitchen baking homemade bread, barefoot & ENDLESSLY pregnant - keeping the over-population figures climbing higher every day. Because we all know how much they hate reproductive education, birth control, and careful & no-red-tape adoptions. MAN, if we aren't careful, "our" government under her watch, will legislate automatic "terminations" of pregnancies of woman who would be carrying "imperfect" children!

Sorry if that sounds too H it l e r e s q u e, but, that's where I fear this republiC0NN party has wanted to take us, since Ronnie RayGun's terms in office, once their long-awaited police-state agenda becomes possible for them to impliment! I just do NOT trust the gop, McBoooo$hOgler, or Moose-Eatin-Mona a tiny bit!!!

It seems to me that I have read somewhere where some funds for the "Bridge" had been released prior to the Guv finally begrudgingly giving up on the project, and that these funds were "given" to the State of Alaska for use as discretionary funds, and therefore did not have to be returned even upon cancellation of this project. I really would like to know the true status of the facts in regard to this transaction.

No, she just wasn't vetted in depth. I'm sure she, like McCain, Googled herself and saw that the first entry said that she didn't back the bridge ... she, and McCain's campaign just didn't check the next set of links that showed the whole story.

She's only been the VP pick for a day. Give the MSM a little time. Once they do, there will be plenty of blood in the water. The MSM has been afraid of going after McCain, but some of them have some real pent up frustration and Palin will end up being the unfortunate recipient of that scrutiny.

Assuming that much more comes to light, my guess is that the Obama campaign will steer clear of attacking Palin and will instead say that again, McCain showed a lack of judgment and that he was "out of touch" ... the new campaign phrase ... with reality. They will talk about the lack of depth in vetting Palin, then compare that to the lack of depth in "vetting" the Iraq War, and then again tie Bush to McCain for something that was all McCain's doing; but it will be effective. As much focus as there has been on Palin in the last day from bloggers, pundits, talk-show hosts, and many others, the Obama camp would be smart to steer clear of her and instead keep the focus on McCain ... this is just another distraction that's been thrown out to try to avoid focus on the issues.

The owners of the MSM want McCain to win.they will be blood in the water, she will get a pass on her lies.just like McCain.Beware of the military industrial complex.

“After extensive news coverage about all this nasty behind-the-scenes scandal, which is definitely NOT squeaky clean, Palin’s approval ratings fell to 67%, still high, but a far cry from the 90% number that’s being thrown around so glibly by the Republicans today. Alaskans are quickly becoming disillusioned once again.”

i remember learning (in middle school social studies) that height and physical appearance are categories that many voters consider. in that case, i hope Obama doesn't let McCain use a step behind the podium when they debate....

This is just the start!

McCain's Supreme Court nominees will probably be Ann Coulter and Bill O'Rielly (I don't even know how to spell that pathetic sucker's name!)

Chief of Staff - Gordon Liddy

Secretary of Defense - David Brooks

Press Secretary - Sean Hannity

Attorney General - James Dobson

Health and Human Services - John Hagee

Surgeon General - Rod Parsley

This should give us good insight into the kind of ideas we can expect from Ms. Palin. Under her and Mc we can expect to see laws being written by corporations just like they were done under sh rub.

Hey, did anyone else go to "read the whole story" and notice that the examples Think Progress cites are awfully weak to support the headline "repeatedly professed desire?" Don't get me wrong, I welcome any honest evidence to dis Palin, but this isn't it. I've heard the Limbaugh and Hannity types do this to us over and over again. What's the point of sinking to their level?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:00 PM on 08/30/2008

Yea, I came away with the same take. We all need to temper our enthusiasm and carefully scrutinize any "evidence" before we come to any conclusions.
