Politico:

The selection of a running mate is among the most consequential, most defining decisions a presidential nominee can make. John McCain's pick of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says a lot about his decison-making -- and some of it is downright breathtaking.

We knew McCain is a politician who relishes improvisation, and likes to go with his gut. But it is remarkable that someone who has repeatedly emphasized experience in this campaign named an inexperienced governor he barely knew to be his No. 2. Whatever you think of the pick, here are six things it tells us about McCain:

Well,, Winger,, see that is the,, Umm??? Problem.

See, the Republicans don’t believe in sex education.
They do not allow birth control.
Even Ummm,,, coitus interruptus Umm??? See: Biblical Onan.

Well,,,, actually not. Onan was killed for not following Levirate Law. Well,, not really.

Oh,, how can I put this?

See God killed Onans’ brother and this left Onans’ sister-in-law without a husband and childless. Under Levirate Law, Not Biblical Law,, it is,, well,,,,,,, a duty to procreate,,, Umm and sooo,, Sarah and Todd would be in breach of Biblical principle if they continued to have conjugal relations without producing children.

This is why God then kill Onan himself. Which then left Onans’ wife without a husband also. Soooo,, See DICK Cheney.

Anyways,, Republicans also do not believe in prophylactics, contraceptive foams or abortive compounds, acidics, intrer-uteral devices, Coka Cola, alligator dung, regularly applied decay preventative dentipress or other artificial pregnancy limitations.
There is serious doubt they have ever seen their own bodies and they are primarily Shame Based individuals,, SEE Garden of Eden,, Eve,,,,, and must have marital relations ONLY in the dark and facing each other, masculine prevail.

SOOOO yes,, according to GOD,, they have to continue to make babies or God will kill them.

For more information,, Please contact your local Taliban Morality Police.

I hope this helps.

They forgot reasons 7 through 10.

7. He thinks she'll look good in a bathing suit like his first wife

8. He spent 5 1/2 years as a POW

9. He thinks she's hot like Cindy

10. He spent 5 1/2 years as a POW

Okay here's the six reasons as I see it!

1. Mc Cain's desperation has driven him from stupid to crazy.
2. Palin's crazy enough to THINK she's qualified to be president.
3. The American people might be crazy enough to believe me when I say she's qualified to be president.
4. I'm a 72yr old fighting cancer but I've pick the best person to step in and replace me as Pesident.
5. I'm a POW no one can call me crazy.
6. Bush is even more crazy then me and he got elected TWICE!

Well,,, Maybe Sarah isn’t a bad idea. Someone to offer a shoulder, not to cry on, well,,, for comfort, for understanding of McCain and the challenges he faces,,,, but,,, but,,, also someone of stability and support, just an ear in times of critical stress.

Like a safety valve. A quiet someone. I don’t know, a special someone.

It is widely acknowledged that McCain has,, well,,, a temperament issue. He is quick to come to a heated level of discussion. Maybe like the TEAM that Obama and Joe have formed,,, McCain and Palin can find their common ground too. When the 3 am phone call comes. McCain will not be alone with it all.

Someone will be there. At his side.

Here is a video that might explain.

Hell, after her water broke, she made a speech, then boarded a plane and flew to Alaska IN LABOR before going to a hospital - this with a premature baby on the way.

The pick says that he's way smarter than we gave him credit for. ARgh! I thought this was going to be easy, too! At least the election isn't boring anymore.

Give it one week and by then this lady is going to be found out to be what she really is. And I'm not just talking about things Progressives might have a problem with but some serious GOP issues too.

Her first action when she became Gov. was to DOUBLE the TAXES on the OIL COMPANIES and start an entitlement program to give Alaskans a $1200 a year bebate from the money. She raised Business Taxes when she was on the City Council and then cut homeowners property taxes with the revenue when she became Mayor. Both her and her husband are Union Members (that is like super no-no with the GOP).

Like I said, just give them a week. She'll sink like a netted salmon (that's the kind of Commerical Fisherman her and her husband are...they stretch nets across the river and gill-net fish coming back to spawn. (and I wonder why they say Pacific Salmon Stocks are decreasing?) Here in Florida we banned Gill Netting in Rivers and coastal waters and our fish populations have started coming back.

You just pointed out some good things she did! Don't make a case against her by touting her Prog tendencies. Stick with the nutty Christian stuff--that boils my liberal blood.

It ain't smart - it's desperation. Do you really think they are going to keep a lid on her lies about the "Bridge to Nowhere" and the fact that she is under investigation for abuse of power in trying to get her sister's ex fired for more that two months?

I usually try not to say anything negative but it's actually a really stupid pick but I'm sure the media will be spinning it into a success for days to come. I read her record and I thought nothing could be worse than McCain - I'm actually speechless - I keep expecting someone to say, "April Fools!"except it's not April...

But, but... she was quoted as saying she was excited about Obama's inroads in Alaska, that it may become a "purple" state, that change would be good. But of course that was before she was chosen as McCain's running mate. Surely that will get some play in the MSM. Kee-rist! Can't count on anything like that!

As I look at the pict above of Senator McCain and Gov. Palin, the two just don't match nor do they compliment ea other. For some reason am not getting good vibes about her and am a great judge of people. Hmmmm, what could it be?

Who is the man behind the curtain? Who is really calling the shots. There is no way I believe McKane made this choice. He was told to do this, but the question is by whom?

The Palin pick tells me one thing about John McCain: He didn't select her.

After reading about Palin's legislative actions as governor, her connections with the oil business, her disastrous meddling in private companies, her anti-environmentalism, climate change denials, anti-choice position, evangelical conservatism, I am convinced that what the neocons have given America is a Bush/Bush ticket. She's likable, a sportswoman, from a state that is rugged and closely connected with the oil industry. McCain is B.ush in 2008. Palin in B.ush in 2000.

And that's not change we can believe in.

If she was a true reformer, she would encourage the arrest of Karl Rove. A House panel Wednesday voted to cite former top White House aide Karl Rove for contempt of Congress as its Senate counterpart explored punishment for alleged Bush administration misdeeds. Any American that ignored a subpoena from the Congress would be in jail.

If she was a true reformer, she would encourage the censure of Larry Craig, Idaho Senator. Craig issued a statement confirming his arrest and guilty plea, which were reported in the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call. Yet no censure has come about.

If she was a true reformer, she would stop being credited for stopping the Gravina Island Bridge "Bridge to Nowhere" Although the project was initially supported by Alaska governor Sarah Palin, she later reversed her position and canceled it on September 21, 2007. The project was canceled on September 21, 2007 by Alaska governor Sarah Palin because the federal government would not pay for all of it.

If she was a true reformer, she would explain the TransCanada deal in Alaska. Why a bid for a $26 billion pipeline went to a Canadian company and Exxon had veto power over the deal. Please explain why an oil company has ties to both Palin AND McCain.

That is if she were a true reformer.

For four days, Biden and Obama should campaign like crazy and blanket the states of Alaska, Arizona and Minnesota -- to be in the face of the opposition, to create an alternative convention story line, and to support democratic candidates in close races.

This is a great article. I want to see more! Fast.

We can't underestimate how good this chick will be at delivering those tried and true Republican talking points. Once she gets on a roll, with lots of cameras pointed at her - look out. Suddenly this election won't be about the war or the economy or anything else but Roev. Wade and other hot button, evangelical issues. This has worked before. It plays in middle America.
