Palin Laughs As Opponent Is Called "Bitch," "Cancer," Mocked For Her Weight (AUDIO)

Early this year, an op-ed in the Anchorage Daily News ripped into Gov. Sarah Palin's appearance on a morning "shock jock" radio show as "plain and simple one of the most unprofessional, childish and inexcusable performances I've ever seen from a politician."

So what happened? Palin has repeatedly feuded with the state's Senate president, Lyda Green, over a wide range of legislation. Last January, Palin appeared on "The Bob and Mark Show," whose host Bob Lester despises Green. That's when the trouble started:

Early on in the conversation before Palin started to crack up, Lester referred to Sen. Green as a jealous woman and a cancer. Palin, who knows full well Lyda Green is a cancer survivor, didn't do what any decent person would do, say, "Bob, that's going too far."

But as the conversation moved on, Lester intensified his attack on Green.

Lester questioned Green's motherhood, asking Palin if the senator cares about her own kids. Palin laughs.

Then Lester clearly sets the stage for what he is about to say by warning his large audience and Palin. He says, "Governor you can't say this but I will, Lyda Green is a cancer and a b----." Palin laughs for the second time.

What were teenage boys thinking when they heard the governor laugh at someone being called a b----? How about the teenage girls who look up to Palin. What did they think when they heard her laugh?

But there is more. Lester then describes Green's chair as big and cushy. A clear reference to the senator's weight. Palin laughs a third time. She's just having a grand old time.

Palin was clearly enjoying every second of Lester's vicious attack on her political rival.

Here's an excerpt of the audio, and here's the full clip:

As the Daily News op-ed notes, Palin later released a statement reading, "The Governor called Senator Green to explain that she does not condone name-calling in any way and apologized if there was a perception that the comment was attributed to the Governor." Then again, at the end of the call in question, Lester asked if he could come visit Palin, and she responded, "I'd be honored to have you."

So what does the incident actually say about Palin? If nothing else, it plays into the developing perception that she has a ruthless streak when taking on her political opponents, whether they be opposing legislators or state/local employees.

Religion, Gun laws, Oil crisis, Health care........ none of these things are going to fix your bottom line.... America you are BROKE...... period!

Let"s not put the arrogant hockey mom anywhere near the White house, her present position in politics is bad enough.

She has no clues on what is wrong, so how can she even suggest a plane to fix the problem?

McCain"s choice in someone like her only shows how little he knows in being capable to run a country. He can not even find someone who understands the issues

Please America look at the issues, understand what they are, you need solutions and not salesmen to fix them, if you are not going to vote for the issues..... DON'T VOTE

This election is too important, your jobs, home and financial futures depend on it.

Sarah Palin is the type of person to kick someone when their down. If she wasn't then she would have spoke up against those awful, awful remarks. Instead she just laughed. How in the world would she ever stand up for the weak and voiceless in our country with that kind of an attitude? Ya, that's someone I want representing my country for sure. NOT!

fAfter hearing the snarky, nasty, you-know-what coming out of her mouth last night, I can see her laughing at a cancer patient and at another woman being called a B*tch. She seems like the type of person to look down on other women who do not see and think like her. To be accepted by Mr. Palin, a woman has to be a Bible thumping-babyi dropping-fire and brimstone preaching female to be accepted by Ms. Palin.

Ever worked with one of these b------- on------- w----------s?

The clip is still available and IF you listen to it, you will hear that Palin DOES NOT laugh about her rival being called a cancer. For crying out loud, get your facts straight.

Listen up and get your own facts straight. Palin doesn't laugh the FIRST time that Lester calls Green a cancer, but he calls her a cancer again right after calling her a b*tch - and this got a pretty good laugh out of Palin. The radio hosts suck up to Palin big-time in this segment, and she clearly enjoyed every moment of it, letting them do the dirty work while she could pretend to take the high road.

The clip has been pulled. Why are we not surprised.

What a harpy! I hope Joe Biden rips her a new one in the VP debates.

I'm glad Palin illegally disclosed troop deployment information to push her political agenda rather than supporting the war which is ironically part of her parties agenda. Very interesting that Beau Biden didn't make this same mistake. Perhaps he's more qualified.

If this woman becomes president (Holy S#!T-no pun intended) we may witness a massive brain
drain which has not been seen since Prewar 1930's Germany and America's 1950's Red Scare.

I'm scared for my children and country. But y'know what's worse? Why in the Hell aren't we
as liberty loving citizens taking this to the streets and screaming NO TO CREATIONISM...
NO TO ANTI CHOICE...NO TO A THEOCRACY! People, this woman is one nasty piece of work.
This is not coming from a leftist...I'm actually a moderate. Look into your history books...when
theocracy was in charge, it was called the DARK AGES.

I am a Christian and this woman DOES NOT speak for me! She is an insult to my belief in Christ. Yes, You are absolutely right that this kind of thinking takes us back to the dark ages. I have often said it reminds me of the crusades and slavery. God did not appoint police officers of the world. He sent witnesses of His love, kindness and holiness. Sarah is conducting herself as a Carnal christian, not a true believer. Pray for our country to not go to these extremists.

You are a True Christian. I hope others like you will speak up. Although I'm not of the Christian faith, I whole heartedly admire the beauty and love it's based on. Sarah Palin,is an angry, ambitious dark being who lacks compassion. As you pray, I will meditate for peace in our wonderfully diverse society.

I believe Jesus and Buddha have much in common. By the way, I never heard of the phrase "Carnal Christian". Very interesting.
Thank you for your reply...I find you very enlightening.

I'm no fan of this VP choice but was forced to listen to the whole thing because the Youtube clip is no longer available. After sitting through ten minutes of AM radio drivel, Palin chuckles at the self-righteous dj calling her fellow Republican, Mrs Green (mother of three, grandma of many), the b word. Not exactly the audio nasty I was led to believe. I tend to agree that she was caught off guard and the laugh just sorta slipped out. What would Kay Hutchinson done? Ditto Hillary?

Every night I take the change from my pocket and toss it into a beer mug on my dresser. After a month I've got enough for a 12 pack. A heck of a lot more than Obama's change will get me.
