What a pathetic story - - - -
You shouldn't be in politics because you wore a T-shirt when you were 19 in college????

Obviously to the hard left - no one changes compared to the person they were at the college tailgate party 25 years ago - - - if this is how deep we have to dig to find something to complain about - I like her as a choice even more!

I am NO SARAH PALIN FAN, but this totally irrelevant. Back in the day, I had stupid tee shirts, too. To be exact, one that said "Hooters." (hanging head in shame).

Let's move onto the issues...

Well said. And my generation has all the photos of them wearing crude t-shirts publicly posted online. I can't wait till we start running for office!

The shirt is cool. The hair, not so cool.

And this is news because...? Careful, folks -- we want the OTHER guys to be the ones who come off as desperate. Not us.

I can't stand this woman's stance on social issues and environmental issues but she was a kid when this taken. This has no relevance to the major issues that this country faces.

One thing you can say about Sarah Palin is that she doesn't look like all those other guys on the dollar bills.

this is mildly amusing, just as a similar silly photo of Obama would be; no more no less

I'm relieved she's not an automaton who has been groomed for political office since childhood. The thing that makes Sarah Palin an appealing candidate is the she seems like a real person. I think most of the self-riteous indignation we see in campaigns is phony--it doesn't sway and doesn't matter.

Yes. With all the US is facing and the global problems piling up we need another 'regular person" to have more beer with and maybe go hunting with...yup yup.

See-- the trouble is Rove/Bush/Cheney changed the rules on us over the last 8 years. It is so hard to break those rules ESPECIALLY when the shoe is on the other foot. It will take time. Until then... the republicans will just have to take a little of what they were dishing out to the Democrats in the last two elections . . I guess they were elections... Supreme Court decided the first one by one vote. How quickly we forget . .

I don't like either John McCain or Sarah Palin's politcs and I will note vote for them. I have always intended to vote for Barack Obama. However, I am a bit turned-off to see the HuffPo take a page from the lame Republican character assassination tactics. Who the hell cares what t-shirt, Gov. Palin wore over 20 years ago in college? Even for a VP candidate this is a none issue.

Also, as much as I like Barack Obama, if we are going to play the game of what embarrassing youthful indiscretions (and really does a mild innuendo on a t-shirt, even rise to the level of a "youthful indiscretion?") we can dig up about the VP and presidential candidates, then Sen. Obama has far worse skeletons in his closet (and I don't care abou them either). Let's not go this National Enquirer muckraking route. The issues framing this election should be about public policy and qualifications to lead, and Sarah Palin is simply lacking in both areas.

Now, let's put the "pin-up" pictures away and act like adults--regardless, of whether the other side does.

Agreed. You should have gotten the "HuffPo" Pick for this comment.

I don't like the woman, but what does this have to do with the price of a pound of butter? A person without skeletons is a person without life.

SHE'S SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE TO BREAK THE GLASS CEILING FOR US?

This is insanely ridiculous.
