Dumb-Dumb woman's questionaire response:

Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

SP: Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance

In case you didn't find my earlier message to you, here it is:

suzy, I just wanted to let you know that you asked for a comment a couple of times last night from me. I did write them but they never showed up. Funny...anything I write that could be considered pro-Palin/McCain shows up but anything I write that is anti-Palin or McCain, never shows up. Weird, uh? I've been playing with it today and, sure enough...

TiffanyH:

That repsonse was made to a 2006 Gubernatorial candidate questionare from eagleforumalaska, a seriously conservative site. For more giggles read the whole thing...I can't post that source address due to the rules but you can google "eagleforumalaska" and add "/2006/07/2006-gubernatorial-candidate.html" to the address
Since the "pledge" wasn't written 'til 1892, by Francis Bellamy, and the words, "under g*d" added in 1954, I wonder what she thinks the founding fathers had to do with it.
Source: http://history.vineyard.net/pledge.htm
Personally I think JMcC intended to choose Michael Palin of Monty Python's Flying Circus, but couldn't remember which was which.
Michael would've been a better choice.

Early conservative complaints:

"National Review site The Corner - The choice says a lot about McCain, that he is a bit desperate and that he is one arrogant SOB. McCain is essentially telling the world that he doesn't really need a Vice President.... Rather, the Office would seem poised to return to the 'proverbial warm bucket of p***' category."

Goldberg - "It all comes down to whether Palin holds up under intense scrutiny. If it looks like this was purely a stunt, then McCain's critics will be right that his "country first" mantra rings a bit hollow. All I can say is I hope McCain's vetters did their job."

Ponnuru has a list:

"Inexperience. Thanks to McCain's decision, Palin could be commander-in-chief next year. That may strike people as reckless. To the extent the experience, qualifications, and national-security arguments are taken off the table and Obama wins.

It's not just foreign policy. Palin has no experience dealing with national domestic issues. Can anyone say with a straight face that Palin would have gotten picked if she were a man?"
end quote

and so it begins...let's enjoy every second of it ;)

I wish they would stop making this so easy. How dumb are the target audience ? The woman has no position on record regarding any major domestic or foreign policy issue. McCain when asked her position on Iraq said "it's the same as mine" Really John I'm guessing she agrees with you on all the other major issues as well. Oh except global warming apparently Sarah didn't get the memo and still doesn't believe it's man made. ROFLMAO

Early conservative complaints:

"The choice also says a lot about McCain. First, that he is a bit desperate," Coffin writes on the National Review site The Corner. "Second, that he is one arrogant SOB. McCain is essentially telling the world that he doesn't really need a Vice President.... Rather, the Office would seem poised to return to the 'proverbial warm bucket of p***' category."

Goldberg is less critical than openly worried: "It all comes down to whether Palin holds up under intense scrutiny. If it looks like this was purely a stunt, then McCain's critics will be right that his "country first" mantra rings a bit hollow. If, on the other hand, she proves to be as impressive as she seems, no one will care about how small Wasilla is.

All I can say is I hope McCain's vetters did their job."

Ponnuru raised a laundry list:

"Inexperience. Palin has been governor for about two minutes. Thanks to McCain's decision, Palin could be commander-in-chief next year. That may strike people as reckless. To the extent the experience, qualifications, and national-security arguments are taken off the table,

Obama wins.

And it's not just foreign policy. Palin has no experience dealing with national domestic issues, either. Can anyone say with a straight face that Palin would have gotten picked if she were a man?"
end quote

and so it begins...let's enjoy every second of it ;)

She and I agree on nothing I've found yet except we both love Alaska. The anti-gay thing is not really fair to criticize her on because McCain and Obama are anti-gay marriage to so that's a wash. She also supports the DC handgun ban.

I'm enjoying the stir she has caused. She's obviously a strong woman and I like that about her. I like her toughness on corruption especially of Republicans.

So far, that's it. I'm reading and waiting to see what else comes up.

Why didn't McCain send Sarah along with Sen. Lohan and Sen. Liebermann to Georgia after the Russian invasion?

Cindy says Sarah has foreign policy experience because Alaska is near Russia, so why wasn't she asked to go over to Georgia to meet with the Saakashvili?

Has Gov. Palin ever met with Putin? Has she ever been to Russia?

If no, what the hell has she been doing for the past 20 months? Cindy says Alaska is near Russia, so that gives Sarah foreign policy experience.

If Sarah hasn't taken advantage of the close proximity she has with Russia, how can we be certain that she knows how to deal with Russia?

CHECK THIS OUT - IT'S GONNA GET GOOD NOW!!

"On Saturday, a Democrat tasked with opposition research contacted the Huffington Post with this piece of information: as of this weekend, the McCain campaign had not gone through old newspaper articles from the Valley Frontiersman, Palin's hometown newspaper.

How does he know? The paper's (massive) archives are not online. And when he went to research past content, he was told he was the first to inquire.

"No one else had requested access before," said the source. "It's unbelievable. We were the only people to do that, which means the McCain camp didn't."

we're not talking minimal vetting - we're talking no vetting. none.

Typical truth is more like it. Palin has not been vetted, neither by the McCain campaign nor by the MSM. But unlike the usual vetting process, she will be vetted publicly, and I think McCain will regret that he only met her once and his next conversation with her, five months later, was to invite her to share his ticket for the vice-presidency.

Once the vetting begins, this strong woman will experience fear BIG TIME! Yet, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with her being a woman and EVERYTHING to do with John McCain's abrogation of his responsibility as a presidential nominee to Governor Palin, to his party and to the country.

Why is the more and more obvious lack of vetting an effete comment?

I'm a strong woman, my weapons cache is alot bigger than most and I am about to step out back and behead something for dinner.

The lack of vetting is a window into the depth of fear and desperation mcdoodly is feeling.

It has nothing to do with queensarah.

It has everything to do with him - a traitor who should have died before giving up his nations information to our enemies. His weakness is despicable. His lying is intolerable. His existence is a blot on the Navy and why his own father never forgave him for coming home alive.

He is rank with cowardice. It oozes out of every pore. It drives him.
