I agree it is. My mom said it did not make sense to her, that a woman in premature labor would not go the hospital.

Would a woman in labor actually get on a flight from somewhere in Texas to Alaska instead of going to the hosiptal first just to get things checked out?

Even if it is a full term pregnancy, what woman would risk getting on an 8 hour flight before going to the hospital?

If you have any doubt that Palin's selection is a disaster for Republicans, check out the looks on the faces of Republican spokespeople Sunday morning as they tried to defend it. George Will looked like he had swallowed something evil (as indeed he has) on Stepanopoulos's show. This is a classic example of buying your own bullshit.. The Republicans accused Obama of making this election all about showbiz and then decided to beat him at what they thought was his own game. Along the way, they deluded themselves into thinking women would not support Obama. Women should be insulted that McCain thought they were so dumb. Now they have taken away the one issue that Obama was vulnerable and suddenly this campaign is about issues, thanks to Obama's great speech and the selection of a green right wing idealogue as McCain's VP candidate. It is no wonder they want to cancel their convention.
