McCain Spokesman Stumped Trying To Explain Why Palin Is Ready To Be Commander-In-Chief (VIDEO)

So, I know that one of the reasons John McCain hastily chose Sarah Palin as his running-and-soul mate was because he thought that Palin would exude some general appeal to female voters, which is why she's been out on the stump talking about Hillary Clinton and the eighteen million cracks.

But how's this for a little bit of the old backlash? Say you're Campbell Brown, working professional, educated newswoman. Brown, I'd bet, knows a thing or two about glass ceilings (remember this back and forth with Hillary Clinton at one of CNN's debates?). And along comes Sarah Palin, who's basically reached third on a series of throwing errors, talking about how she's going to break that glass ceiling. And Brown recalls that old Morrissey line: "You just haven't earned it yet, baby."

Hmmmm. You see, it's not just that Brown, faced with the prospect of chasing Tucker Bounds all around the barnyard like he's some kind of stuttering, idiotic chicken, sticks with insisting that Bounds answer a simple and direct question. It's that Brown infuses the proceedings with that little extra dose of extra-special sadistic glee that makes it twice as nice to watch and gives rise to all of my furtive speculations, above.

Watch for yourself, and tell me Brown isn't enjoying this:

Sen Obama EARNED his party's nomination. He campaigned for almost two years, debated countless times, ran a campaign that even journalists from conservative business magazines agree has been the most creative and well-run enterprise and an important example of executive leadership, and won the Democratic nomination against the most famous political power couple in history. Gov. Palin was chosen at the last minute, after 'maverick' John McCain folded to the pressure of the radical religious wing of his party, following a 15 minute phone interview. This has far more to do with John McCain's decision-making style than with Gov. Palin's experience.

On another note, the MSM who have whitewashed McCain for years have started to report today that the Governor's daughter was told-prior to her mother's acceptance of McCain's VP offer-that they were leaving home to celebrate her parents' wedding anniversary. In other words, her parents' blind ambition was such that they set their pregnant daughter up (with no preparation or input) for the amount of scrutiny that she is now receiving. Classy.

I just wonder why no one has brought up the fact that Barack Obama is smarter and better educated than either John McCain or Sarah Palin. Obama earned two Ivy League degrees The Hard Way--while McCain (another Republican "C" student presidential offering) went to the Naval Academy the same way George W went to Yale--because his famous father went there. Experience can't teach you anything if you're stupid. Smart people learn from the mistakes of others. Want to learn how not to run a country: watch George W. BTW, did you know McCain spent 5 1/2 years as a POW? We should all write that down so we don't forget it. I think we should arrange for all our presidential (and vice-presidential) candidates to undergo psychiatric evaluationg. People who talk to invisible super beings should go first.

Only in Republican America would a black man with a law degree from Harvard, 12 years in politics, four years on the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee and manager of one of the most impressively flawless and forward thinking presidential campaigns ever not be ready for the presidency while a white female evangelical with 19 months in regional politics and a bachelors in journalism is considered "ready on day one".

I agree with the psychiatric evaluation. I also think they should take a test where they are given a world map with only country outlines and they have to fill in the country's name and leader. If they don't pass, they are deemed not qualified to be POTUS.
