McCain Spokesman Stumped Trying To Explain Why Palin Is Ready To Be Commander-In-Chief (VIDEO)

I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Brown And Bounds

So, I know that one of the reasons John McCain hastily chose Sarah Palin as his running-and-soul mate was because he thought that Palin would exude some general appeal to female voters, which is why she's been out on the stump talking about Hillary Clinton and the eighteen million cracks.

But how's this for a little bit of the old backlash? Say you're Campbell Brown, working professional, educated newswoman. Brown, I'd bet, knows a thing or two about glass ceilings (remember this back and forth with Hillary Clinton at one of CNN's debates?). And along comes Sarah Palin, who's basically reached third on a series of throwing errors, talking about how she's going to break that glass ceiling. And Brown recalls that old Morrissey line: "You just haven't earned it yet, baby."

Hmmmm. You see, it's not just that Brown, faced with the prospect of chasing Tucker Bounds all around the barnyard like he's some kind of stuttering, idiotic chicken, sticks with insisting that Bounds answer a simple and direct question. It's that Brown infuses the proceedings with that little extra dose of extra-special sadistic glee that makes it twice as nice to watch and gives rise to all of my furtive speculations, above.

Watch for yourself, and tell me Brown isn't enjoying this:

This guy should be fired immediately. He is totally ill-prepared to answer a
direct question and only makes McCain and Palin look worse than ever.
Of course, I could be happier that he's so inept.

Am I to believe that this guy is actually being paid some sort of compensation for doing whatever it his he thinks he is doing? I want a job like that. I can talk to Campbell Brown or Joe Scarborogh or any other TV personality and defend Palin better than that. And that is even with Palin having NOTHING defendable.

He tried to put her in a defensive position lol, and it didn't work but if it was a male asking the question they would have tossed out sexism to shut'em up!

The problem with this is that the McCain campaign wants to have the "experience" debate both ways.

They want to continue to attack Obama for his lack of experience and at the same time inflate Palin's Alaskan experience to a presidential level. But if we utilize the McCain campaign's shifting standard on foreign policy and national security experience, doesn't that make Palin more qualified than McCain?

And while we're on the subject of foreign policy experience, American foreign policy hasn't changed in decades. Why would any candidate need a tower of foreign policy experience to do the same thing that's always been done on the international stage?

The fact that this guy and his people take so lightly the possibility of Sarah Palin becoming President in the event that something happens to McCain speaks very clearly to the underlying lack of love for this country and it's well being. Their atitude towards this entire process has been nothing less than UNPATRIOTIC! Shame on these infidels and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Tucker Bounds is Burnt Toast baby.

He could not answer the question: 'What makes her qualified to be Commander in chief if something were to happen to John McCain?' As this is the standard of picking a VP; made by John McCain.

That child defending Palin must not know that, while under previous Presidents, there were several "CinC"s (Commanders in Chief) throughout the United States Armed Forces and in their history [for example, General MacArthus was Commmander-in-Chief of the UNC/FEC (United Nations Command/Far East Command) and Commander in Chief of AFFE/8th Army (Army Forces Far East/8th Army). General Curtis LeMay was Commander-in-Chief of the Strategic Air Command. The term just meant someone who was the commander of other commanders e.g., commanders in the Far East, commanders in Europe, and so on], in the power-crazed and religiously held aims of Cheney, Addington, Rove and those with them (the President, etc.) there had to be a title unique to the President, whether or not it made sense to make it uniquely his: So he continued to be Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces during war, but he commanded that no one else could have the title.
So this infant defending Palin keeps referring to Mrs. Palin as having experience as "Commander-in-Chief of the Alaskan National Guard." She IS NOT. He is not reporting the TRUTH, that's all.

I honestly didn't think Campbell had it in her to be an objective journalist. Married to neocon apologist and former Bush appointee Dan Senor, I always assumed that she would be a cheerleader for the GOoPeRs. Way to go girl!

Is his name Tucker Bounds? She asked him about equiping the Alaska National Guard and Campbell pointed out that the Pentagon does that and he tried to correct her. He said she does and than said in the case of an emergency that Palin directs the national guard. That wasn't the question.

He tried to correct her on the equiping of the national guard question, but he never admitted he was wrong and never pointed out one instance where Palin made a foreign policy decision.
