Rove

Washington Times:

Political strategist Karl Rove, freed of his White House role, is encouraging major Republican donors to give their money to organizations that operate independently of the Republican Party and are poised to spend upwards of $100 million trying to elect conservatives this fall.

Mr. Rove, the architect of President Bush's election victories, has been telling Republican benefactors across the country that giving to official Republican Party fundraising committees will not be enough this year, according to people familiar with his pitch over the past few months.

They said Mr. Rove has regularly expressed concern that Democrat-leaning organizations such as MoveOn.org and labor unions could swamp the Republican Party's money machine and overwhelm the presidential campaign of Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican.

When I heard Sen. McCain had chosen a female to be on his ticket, I said to my sister, "This lady was picked because Sen. Obama had not picked Hillary. She was picked because there was a lot of women who cried sexism. He picked her hoping that people would pounce on her and make sexist comments; with this done, women would be sympathetic to Gov. Palin and therefore voter for her/McCain. Or, the feminists dems. who would be upset about sexism, would stay home and not vote.

Gov. Palin was not chosen because she has anything to offer the ticket, she was chosen to be used as a bait.

I am an Obama supporter, but, I do believe this strategy of McCain will be successful and he will win the Presidency.

People may say that I am too negative. However, it's not about being negative, it's about being realistic and I have no hope/faith in the American people, that they will be smart enough to see through this gimmick.

Calling yourself "realistic" is arrogant. Truly realistic -- and intelligent -- people judge based on the facts, such as polls and other reactions, not just their own cynicism.

I, too. support Senator Obama, but I wholeheartedly disagree with your conclusion that Mc. will win this election. First, the Repub brand is barley on life support these days for the mishandlings of everything from the Iraq wat to Hurricane Katrina (why do you suppose they postponed the first day of the Repub convention to head down to NO...they feared being caught once again doing nothing to aid Americans in a time of natural disaster).

Secondly...Sarah Palin is an accident waiting to happen...just since the announcement that she is Mc's choice for VP for the Repubs...there's been more controversy (negative) about her than anyone thought possible, from her ongoing abuse of power investigation to her recent admittance of her unmarried, teenage daughter's pregnancy. So I'd say the Mc campaign has their work cut out for them with very little time to get their house in order!

Ah...you worry too much. People are stupid, yes, but it's a long way to November, and this whole Palin storyline is more ludicrous by the day than any soap opera could be.

At last, we see his true colors. The Republican machine was the ticket to ride for power. Their useful days are over. Time to break free, eh Karl?

Isn't he on Fox News? Shouldn't this be illigal or something? If they would just put the creep in jail he wouldn't be so out there.

Rove and the republicans should be worried. There is a wall of convulsing anger and utter disgust that is headed their direction in November the likes of which I don't think I've ever seen. It's truly amazing!! But, it's heartening at the same time that the country is finally waking up to the rape and pillaging of this country by the republicans over the last 8 years. McCain is toast!!

Don't bet on it. The Republicans may not how to run a government but they sure can fool the American people. This race is far from being in the bag.

If the way I feel toward the Rethuglicans is any indication of how others might feel, look out. I have been sitting here thinking I was the only one who was SO angry after 8 years of their fakery, thievery, and trashing of the Constitution, that I started going to Democratic meetings for the first time in my life.

What? The attack on Georgia he helped stage wasn't enough for him? Trying to spark up the cold war again wasn't enough for him? How much $$ does he think the American people have left to support his illegal schemes.

Oh! Why won't the Dems DO something about this guy. He's malignant!

The dollar is in the dump. It's worth about .50 on the european market. These people are worried about trying to pay the help, and gassing up their yachts. Not whether mc and his sidekick get the chance to make things worse.

I can't believe the true Republican voters, are gonna fall for the biggest take, they ever could fool them for, the last of the party's rich contributors donations. Now the same people who bought US Bush I, Bush II and Richard Nixon, want to sucker voters. Don't they get it yet? Everybody , and the world GETS IT!

Why don't the snake oil salesman in DC, get it?

THERE ARE WRAPPED IN PROFIT, BLINDED BY THEIR GREED AND OUT OF TOUCH!

We the People, want to resolve this madness and get on with. We the People won't go to our graves, with such uncertaintly facing our children and grandchildren. So much for the RepubliKlan vision.

Disasterous Debt Party! catastrophy's and disasters, and crony incompetence.

All they can do is offer a female gov of 16 mon, who has OIL ties.

The rats have only four feet(months) of pole left on the sinking ship, they have become disasterously desperate, in their judgements and don't deserve 4 seconds, less more 4 months.

.
THEY BROKE YOUR PARTY AND ARE PLANNING TO TAKE DONORS AS THEY LEAVE.

ruin the party of 300 hundred years.
Republican conservatives, you are being played ergo:Evangelicals in 2000.
The rats are jumping, on what's left floating in your party, to survive

BOJO ON! IT'S AN AMERICAN THING.
They GET IT!!

Have a concert before your event.

Obama had concerts before all of his speeches
The media never discussed it, but it worked.

Also, Moore is making a movie and hired extras to show up.

Because if you are well connected in America in 2008, you don't go to jail even if you are an obvious criminal. We are all living in George Orwell's America in 2008 thanks to GWB and the GOP.
