Sanford

The New York Times talked to GOP Governor Mark Sanford about Bristol Palin's pregnancy today:

Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina said that he had heard no discussion about removing Ms. Palin from the ticket. In fact, he said, he thought her daughter's pregnancy would not hurt her with voters.

"People are looking for real," he said in an interview. "Real means blemishes, real means warts, real means real. These family imperfections make people say, 'That family isn't so different from my family.'"

Early reaction among women at the Republican convention to the news about Bristol Palin's pregnancy was almost uniformly supportive.

Maybe people wont care about the baby, but they will care about the 527 she lead, and the fringe group AIP that had alaska first and everyone else second. It was stupid for him to put her on the ticket, and dumber for her to take it.

I don't want just "real down home folks" with unwed pregnant daughters and snowmobiling trophies on the mantle under the big game trophies . .. that's not what I look for in a leader.

Let's get back to the leadership discussion. Let's see, between Obama-Biden and McCain-Palin just who exhibits the best leadership qualities. Not who we can identify with when we have stubbed our moral toes . . . .

Oh Lord, I don't either. I do not get how so many folks are OK with all this foolishness and lying three days out from the announcement. Imagine if they would win, what would come out then? Why would anyone ever be ok with this mess??

Whenever I hear something like "he had heard no discussion about removing Ms. Palin from the ticket" means there probably has been a lot of talk about removing her asap. I give her until tomorrow at this time before she tearful announces she needs to put her family first and will be dropping out as VP.

The choices are pretty pathetic. If it weren't for the fact that McCain and she might win and be in charge, I would kind of like her to stick around-better than Sanford, Pawlenty, Graham,

HERE IT COMES.

They're going to pull a HARRIET MYERS and switch VP's at the last minute. And I know who it's going to be:

JEB BUSH.

Think about it, who could still energize the base, but satisfy the financial, and military conservatives?

It makes sense for another reason, too. It explains why McCain supported Bush is 2004

You're kidding about Jeb Bush, right? I can see it now:

McCain/Bush '08 "4 more years." LOL

Sadly, Jeb and Bush41 are the competent ones, but Jeb's political future has been stained because he shares a last name with his idiot brother.

Seems the top repubs all have yellow pee stains on the crotch of their brand new white slacks and can't see them.

And all their friends won't mention the problem.

The mere fact that there is talk about REMOVING is damaging enough! If the republicans have to defend the first executive decision of McCain from now till the election they are toast!

"Real means blemishes, real means warts, real means real."

Sounds like "real" almost means some seriously bad skin condition.

Yeah.. It does seem like McCain's heart isn't in it. He looks listless most of the time. It's almost like he is giving back some passive low energy pay back for what GWB the Rep. Institution did to him in 2000.
I say she's out with in the next two weeks - to many things are piling up to ignore. If she does go they will force her to claim that she has family issues and was to much of a distraction to be helpful. My favourite tid-bit that I read about her is that she supported the guy who got 1% of the 2000 Rep. vote (P. Buchanan) as opposed to the guy she's running with now. (If I am wrong about this can someone prove me wrong? - I just read it off the internet)
Now.. That’s not vetting.
Also let's stop with the "she's hot" or "she's articulate" stuff --- she's neither. Can anyone confirm this birth certificate thing with her youngest child? Is it true that it hasn't been released?
