Outside the RNC, Arianna ran into Republican strategist Kellyanne Conway and asked her for her thoughts on Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin. Conway's response offers a unique defense of Palin from a woman's point of view. Watch the video below.

She is obviously not at home taking care of her special needs child and privately dealing with the pregnancy of her 17 year old and her son's deployment either. So what? What exactly are "Family Values" Funny how these people only know them when they feel 'we' don't have them! Hypocrisy Reigns!!

Expect Gov. Palin to do well tonight. She may be new, but she is VERY GOOD.

Despite her inexperience, she DID beat sitting Governor Murkowsk, and she did beat Big Oil, partly because they thought she would be easy. She is NOT.

They lowered the expectations on her, but she WILL exceed them.
Do not underestimate this woman. She is tough and she is smart.

Tough and smart are not enough. Ask Hillary. Her goal tonight is to do no "more' harm. I am sure she can memorize and deliver a speech, but will she be able to convert people from the other side of the isle. Even if every registered Republican voted for their ticket, they would still be out. There are way more Democrats and Independents.

Will they even be watching? I am watching Project Runway.

I have no problem with Sarah Palin as an idividual nor as a governor. While I may not agree with her on several important issues, I can say I respect her as a strong woman who has accomplished a great deal.

But...is she qualified to lead our country? Hmmm, I don't think too many Americans would be comfortable with that. And in this election, the odds of McCain's VP needing to step in are much higher than usual.

I don't blame Palin for this high-risk, high-excitement situation. She didn't ask for it. McCain did. And once again, therein lies the question of his judgement (or lack thereof.)

Exactly, but we do know McCain had an affair possibly more than one? Why isn't the media focusing on McCain?? This election is not between Palin and Obama it's between McCain and Obama. McCain seems to want McPalin to outshine him so that voters aren't reminded of his twin Bush.

There is little capital to the argument that she is a straight shooter; I'm sure she is a basically decent person and may very well be a decent governor for Alaska ... maybe ... and all of that is irrelevant. The point of the matter is that she is simply not qualified for VP ... it's as simple as that. The last thing we need is neo-con, howdy doody McCain as Pres and Mrs. right-wing, abuse power to get her way, soccer Mom, Palin as VP. We need serious change from the Banana Republic mentality police state that has arisen in recent history and is so evident at the GOP convention! We are in trouble folks ... get the GOP out of power and bring back the Constitution in full force ... all of it !!!

Sen. David Vitter (R) cheated on his wife with hookers. Sen. Larry Craig (R) solicited an undercover cop for gay sex in a bathroom stall. They are still in the senate because they refused to step down, and when Vitter returned to the senate, he received a standing O from his repub colleagues.
