Bloomberg:

Former Texas Senator Phil Gramm, who stepped aside as John McCain's campaign co-chairman in July after an uproar over comments that those worried about the U.S. economy are ``whiners,'' today revisited that sentiment.

``If you're sitting here today, you're not economically illiterate and you're not a whiner, so I'm not worried about who you're going to vote for,'' Gramm told supporters of McCain at a Financial Services Roundtable event in Minneapolis on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention.

Gramm, 66, stepped down as a senior adviser to McCain in July after telling the Washington Times that the U.S. is a ``nation of whiners'' facing a ``mental recession.''

The only one continously whining is this man. He needs to have his head examined.

I sometimes find Phil Gramm refreshing because he doesn't even pretend to be nice. No backstabbing here, he'll look you right in the eye while he sticks the knife in. The man is just plain mean.

McCain supporters aren't whiners, but...

If you question Palin's qualifications, you are a sexist. That's not whining, is it?

And if you're John McCain and you suffered five years of torture, you can't stand up to the brutal questioning of Larry King. If he can't face off with King, how's he going to do with Putin?

The sad part is that many of our well off citizens obtained their wealth due in part to their parents and grandparents, and great grand parents who fought for so many of and were able to advance themselves because of the very social programs they (Republicans) fight so vehemently against. It is scary how disconnected current generations are from the history that makes Our country great.
No other society in the world is like ours in the entire world and it is imperative that We not just leave Americans on their own, to be used up and left out by corporate interest. Imperative that we ensure that hard work and dedication is rewarded with continued opportunities for success and not a pink slip.
Why would any American think it OK to explode our deficit over a misguided WAR, and still oppose investing 1% of those billions we are wasting in Iraq on America's Education and Healthcare systems?
It is time for a Real Change America

Of course McCain's supporters aren't whiners, the don't know about the rape of the middle class and the subjectation of the poor. They just aren't paying attention or they are part of the rape.

Of course McCain supporters aren't whining -- they are the ones who have been looting the treasury for the past eight years. If anyone has any doubt that a McCain vistory would mean four more years of Bush corruption, all they have to do is listen to Gramm's self-serving analysis of the economy. And, make no mistake -- Gramm remains McCain's primary economic advisor.
