Chris Matthews is confirming that this is the upcoming cover of Us Weekly, and with its headline, "Babies, Lies, and Scandal," it's certainly doing vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin few favors. Though look at that baby, people! Kid is adorable. Anyhoo, the big winner this week is clearly David Duchovny, whose sex addicted double life goes to the back burner for America's Next Top Secessionist Aerial Wolf Hunter.

Why all the fuss from the Obamanites about Palin's daughters pregancy? As I recall, Obama's mother was 17 years old and 5 months pregnant when she got married. Since he was already married to an African woman, was that marrige even leagal?.

I think you all are missing the point that she is being promoted to non-political readers. People and US Weekly??? and all political interviews banned. Maybe there's a good reason OTHER than worry about her possible faux pas. Maybe they are simply appealing to a different demographic than Huffpo readers. I find her scarily appealing to all those people who voted for Bush against their interests. She's not about issues is right. She's about culture wars. Ok folks what about the divorce in the family of values. It is sad when you put such high standards for your kids. Palins wonderful moral pro life family includes a pregnancy out of wed lock, a sister who is divorcing, and Palin who has vengeance in her blood, dumping on her x brother in law....one of the seven deadly sins. Politicians can"t have it both ways. They can"t put forth a certain image to illustrate their family values and then demand that the public ignore the flip side of the pretty framed picture.

Bristol should not be judged. She will have a hard enough life becoming a young mom while her own mother remains on the national stage, win or lose the election.

BUT " the pregnancy is relevant in terms of the debate over teen pregnancy, sex education, and contraception/abstinence.

It is good that they are keeping all her dirty laundry out. It keeps the repugs busy defending themselves instead of attacking with more lies. She brought it on herself. She could have provided a birth certificate, ob gyn data and hospital records, instead she decided to out her daughter. Not nice. Still this story does not add up and has distracted from what could be the truth. Now the media will not push this baby story as hard. She deserves what she got.
