Broadcasting & Cable:

According to CNN, Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) pulled out of a scheduled interview with the network after a segment with Campbell Brown and a top McCain spokesman Monday night in which Brown asked for examples of a foreign-policy decision made by Republican vice president pick Sarah Palin.

McCain was scheduled to appear on Larry King Live, but CNN's Wolf Blitzer said Tuesday that the campaign told the news network they thought Brown's interview with spokesman Tucker Bounds was "over the line."

It seems as no other people are vetting Palin....so why shouldn't the media do it. If there was nothing to be found; than there would be nothing to vet. She has no experience. Period. She is a right wing, ultra religious candidate who doesn't believe that human beings have anything to do with global warming. Who cares if her daughter is pregnant; why didn't palin tell her voters about being pregant until 7 months into her own pregnancy....this is more of a concern to me. Yes, it matters that an ultra traditional, religious woman who claims that abstinence is the only thing that should be taught to children, has a daughter who didn't use birth control and is prego. It makes me think that she is too busy spending time out of her home to be a role model for her daughter. Who the heck cares if she has 5 children; if she can't take care of them?

What is the difference between Bristol's pregnancy and Jamie Lynne's pregnancy? One big difference is that the taxpayers will pick up the bill for Bristol. Another difference is that Jamie Lynn and her family are a pox on the face of American family values while Bristol and her family embody all that is good about American family values.

That was a great interview by Campbell Brown. I didn't know she was capable of such persistence and determined questioning. Too bad, Little Tucker couldn't come up with an answer. Of course the mc Pain campaign responded in a small-minded, vindictive, and spiteful way. That's who they ARE.

Committed to covering both sides of the issue?

-Interviewing Republican-

What foreign policy experience does she have? What foreign policy decisions has she made? How many UN summits has she chaired? How many times has she been skiing with the Prime Minister of Japan?

-Interviewing Democrat- (to get the other side...)

What foreign policy experience does she have? What foreign policy decisions has she made? How many UN summits has she chaired? How many times has she been skiing with the Prime Minister of Japan?

Ummmmmm, I don't think that counts as "covering both sides".

Please give factual information regarding CNN, not Faux News. CNN is by far the most fair network.

Wrong! Most fair? Try C-SPAN or BBC America.

For 5 and a half years John McCain didn't even have a television because he lived in a POW camp blah, blah, blah, blah.

Thats true, not really blah blah blah, it just isn't relevant to this topic.

So "Prince John" the Same and "Falin'" Sarah Palin are upset CNN is doing its job, especially since FOX grilled people who weren't even part of the Obama campaign, like Al Sharpton, in similar fashion. If you're going to be the Vice-President, you should be able to name a foreign policy descion you've made, like supporting democracy in the democratic republic of the congo for instance, or keeping nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists, or acting to end a wasteful and unnecesary war, or working with leaders around the world. Something like that.

"If you're going to be the [President], you should be able to name a foreign policy descion you've made..."

like sitting down with Kim Jong Il, Ahmedinijad, and Castro without any preconditions. Or unilaterally bombing our ally Pakistan. Or fighting against the surge in Iraq because it would "increase violence" there...

100% wrong then, 100% wrong today.

If a politician complains about an interview that means the interviewer did their job.

Some poster keeps on posting "McSame" on other boards and after reading this article I think that's a proper nick name for McCain. Bush and his administration cancels press conferecnes, interviews, and questions when what's being asked is not to their favor. You want someone who can reach all people and answer the tough questions and in this case the easy questions, All the CNN reporter was asking for was foreign expereince in regards to McSame's VP pick. It was a simple question but Tucker was just running around the issue and bashing Obama.

Everyone,

Do we really want another administration that feels like they are above the law and wont answer the country's (and media's) questions?

Do you want another administration who is glum and nasty whenever they can talk about the democrats, but simply ignore any criticism on their behalf?

Bush last night said in his speech we are the "angry left". So he is still fighting and rude right up until the end, no matter if his approval rating is 26%!

Obama, where are your new ads to tell everyone this "new candidate" is under investigation amongst other things? You know if it was you and Biden, by now there would have been about 4 republican ads about you and your running mate!

Obama is right to stay away from this. When your opponents are busy shooting themselves in the head it is best to stay back a little.

Republican delegates await Sarah to "rock 'em & sock 'em" tonite!!! Again, what does Sarah bring to Mc's campaign !!?? Reform ~ that's already debunked, Sarah is said to have acquiesced to lobbyists for millions in dreaded "earmarks". Ethics ~ under investigation. Family Values ~ debunked. Experience/foreign ~ debunked. Economics ~ outside Alaska ~ none.

Don't forget though, she was a "beauty queen" !!!!

I'm already rocked & socked by this sitcom!

What Palin brings to the table is that everyone is busy with her and not talking about the real issues like the fact that McSame has no economic plan. We're too busy talking about Palin's oversexed teen to realize nothing has been said at the RNC about the economy, just tent revival stuff with a lot of old white people.

If your a woman, doing a mans job you should be able to handle the tough questions. Hillary does it all the time. President, VP, Congress are all paid for with our money. Not asking her or MCcain tough questions is like the boss (us) is not allowed to ask questions of their employees.. I know they dont think like that and thats why we are going to change the way they do business. Our media better ask all ,tough questions, they didnt with bush and cheney ..What a mess we have now because the media didnt ask..

Pardon me but I watched that interview and that was not a tough question. It was a tough answer because Palin has no foreign relations experience. No matter how hard the McCain staffer tried to dodge the question, he could not. The staffer wanted to answer question that were not asked.

It was correct for Campbell Brown to expect and answer to her question and keep him on track.

But if you watched all the interview Brown let him off the hook at the end.
