Broadcasting & Cable:

According to CNN, Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) pulled out of a scheduled interview with the network after a segment with Campbell Brown and a top McCain spokesman Monday night in which Brown asked for examples of a foreign-policy decision made by Republican vice president pick Sarah Palin.

McCain was scheduled to appear on Larry King Live, but CNN's Wolf Blitzer said Tuesday that the campaign told the news network they thought Brown's interview with spokesman Tucker Bounds was "over the line."

Why go on a show with no ratings? Although, the juxtaposition of McCain and Larry King makes Johnny look like a first term Senator.

The Limbaugh flying monkeys (trolls) have been relatively quiet today. Is the GOP regrouping for a new strategy of blog attack?

Well, there's "Crack" down there who obviously fell asleep for the past year and has awaken to the sound of Sarah!!! He/she believes O was an 8 year old terrorist ... and Mc has foreign affairs experience that is useable in the 21st Century!!

Trying to rally a little help for yourself? Huh Gladys? Where did I say Obama was an 8 year old terroist? I didn't. I said he served on a board with a terrorist , which he did. You still haven't told me, nor has anyone else, what Obama's foreign experience is. List it out bag lady.

Just another example of the McCain continuation of Bush's policies, which resulted in the least communicative, most insular and failed administration of modern times.

For a he- man maverick John McCain sure whines alot like a little girl. To pitch a fit because Tucker Bounds couldn't handle his business is simply childish. McCain is not fit for public service. He is delusional. Does he not realize that the whole country is laughing at him? Life long Republicans I know have serious doubts about his mental stability.

Very fishy goings on all round. Does anyone understand why lies seem so prevalent in the evangelical body politic? Deception in any form is the most heinous of sins (ask any clergyman) and honesty the greatest virtue, in ALL circumstances regardless of how things might look. A thing that starts in lies will continue in lies, all in the name of ambition. They truly remind me of children scurrying around and trying to please an implacable parent, keeping up images and grades and lying when required. Containing and controlling this web will someday require policy to be formed around protecting it at the expense of the truth and the citizenry. They also seem to have the most ludicrous understanding of prayer, which to them is a barter/lotto of wishes and not a meditation for wisdom, understanding and genuine right action. This is a child's understanding and something proffered by a neolithic church during the age of indulgences as actual faith. When people pray for what they want and not for what is essentially right, blind ambition is never far behind.

Because to believe what they believe, you have to suspend belief in reality and facts. Once you do that, you can advocate anything that you want. It becomes a matter of advocating whatever you WANT to believe. Facts have no relevance. So, I guess to them, they're not lies. They consider themselves to be honest, straightforward, simple folks. To us -- they're nutcases living in a fantasy world.

The same sadly can be said of the Pelosi congress.

I am rooting for Obama all the way - but even if he IS a real agent for intelligent change - He will have to confront the spineless dinosaurs in his own party.

Hell, Kucinch is the only one I really trust that ever seems to speak out.

So - yes american Christianity [especially the fundie kind] is a house of glass, but that is cause it is way more american than Christian.

Great Job Campbell - Great job CNN. Just watch - he will come whining back! Don't let his pandering sway you. A VP pick he throws out at the last minute & expects no questions? In a time of WAR he expects no coverage. Just go with the "in the news" articles. Get Toobin on board as well to address the fact as outlined in Washington post about her trying to shut down Troopgate!
Everyone supports you - check out the huffingtonpost.com to get at least a sense of what is happening with stories and feedback.
GO CNN - GO Campbell Brown.

So, McCain has just begun his campaign for POTUS?? Is that it? He actually thinks he needed another skirt to hide under ... is that it? I thought he'd continue to use Hillary as the mistreated woman! This republican last ditch effort to hold on to that WH is so transparent and truly questions the intelligence of the american people .... AGAIN!!

I guess the Republicans have gotten so used to Fox news just taking their talking points and running with them, that they forgot there are still some real reporters out there. Way to go, Campbell!

McCain looks like a wimp for not wanting to talk to Larry King. Compare that to Obama who’s now scheduled to talk to Bill O’Reilly on Thurs!

Now who’s the big scaredy cat?

Lyin' Joe's at it again!

What Is It With Democrats and Imaginary Sniper Fire?

Add Joe Biden to the list of prominent Democrats who've had to "revise" the claim that they've been shot at in a war zone. (Or, better, add the claim that he's been shot at to the list of things Biden has said about himself that turn out to, er, need revising.)

At the Dems' CNN/YouTube debate, Biden began began one of his characteristic bloviations by chiding the Bush administration, "Let's start telling the truth." That's the Revision Squad's cue to get on red alert. He proceeded to discuss Iraq's Green Zone: "You better have helicopters ready to take those 3,000 civilians inside the Green Zone, where I have been seven times and shot at." (Emphasis added.)

Well, not exactly. Last month the Hill reported that, when pressed, Biden had to concede that he wasn't sure he'd actually been shot at ... just that there were three occasions — only one of which, it turns out, happened in the Green Zone — when "he felt that he was shot at or might have been shot at." Thinking about the Green Zone incident now, he told the paper, a more accurate comment would have been: “I was near where a shot landed.”

HIGH-larious!

More overtones from the Bush White House. DO NOT QUESTION US, OUR JUDGMENT or OUR RATIONAL ... Sound familiar? After 9/11 the good little sheep fell in line ... the bad sheep who dared to raise questions were punished. May this never be a nation of sheep again. If anything, journalists and citizens alike should hit back hard against this attempt once again to manipulate and punish, and stop at nothing until all questions are satisfactorily answered one way or another.
