The Hill:

Sen. Joe Lieberman's speech Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention may have been the last straw for his fellow Senate Democrats.

The longtime Democrat-turned-Independent senator, who still caucuses with Democrats and chairs the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, may soon see one or both of those privileges revoked, said a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

Lieberman gave a primetime speech Tuesday that repeatedly criticized Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.). Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic vice presidential candidate, is a top supporter of Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Joe Leiberman is just hoping the McCain wins so he can switch parties. If McCain loses, Leiberman will try coming back to the Dems on his knees. He's been kissing Republican ass for too long and it's time for the Dems to dump him. Let him become part of the red meat party. Let's just hope enough Dems get elected to Congress to keep a majority.

Simply put, Lieberman is nothing but a cry-baby, politcal opportunist and he fits right in with the GOP very nicely I might ad. Birds of a feather flock together.

"May punish?"

What does Joe have to do for them to "actually" punish him?

We seem to have the same dilemma with the p and vp,although Lieberman is only political and he should have been thrown out long ago.If the people we have elected don't do their job or police themselves there seems to be no recourse except for the election booth. With caging, not supplying Democratic precincts with enough voting machines, not counting ballots, electronic voting machines manufactured by a Republican entity without the option of a paper trail, the SCOTUS making illegal decisions, that remedy is swiftly being taken off the table. The remedy for Lieberman is figuratively a swift kick in the behind and exclusion from any Dem strategy knowledge. He has failed our party and our country with his behavior.

Just take him out of his leadership role now, let Cheney break the ties, how bad is that going to look to for the Republicans when everyone can see they actually are the problem in Washington. If Lieberman still feels the way he does and votes Republican and can't show the working together spirit he espouses then to hell with him.

Time to move forward without Lieberman. Just watched the Palin speech. She is some angry, sarcastic women. No barnburner. No movement. No worries. She's the same old, same old.

Agreed. Also very aggressive. Did anyone else notice how she would clench her lips together after one of her (???) zingers, as if to say "take that" or "so there!". Petulant.

She's scary stuff. My husband feels sorry for her kids.... (he has a point).

McCain exercised incredibly poor judgment by choosing the inexperienced Sarah Palin to lead the free world if he were to become incapacitated.
