GOP Crowd Boos NBC (VIDEO)

The folks over at MSNBC have become political scapegoats for the supporters of the candidate opposing Barack Obama. In the Democratic primary, backers of Hillary Clinton often quipped over what they deemed as unfair and often sexist coverage. In the general election the animosity between the McCain campaign and the peacock network has also spilled over into public.

So it was with as much humor as surprise that the crowd at the Republican Convention derided the network during the midst of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's speech Wednesday night. After the Alaska Governor ridiculed the media for conflating her outsider status with being unqualified, the crowd stood up in applause... then boos... then derisive chant.

"NBC, NBC, NBC," they declared, pointing their fingers at the Networks filing center in the stadium. It was a sharp moment during a wildly applauded address. The media, indeed, has become the uniting foe for the GOP.

Pat Buchannan, the right wing stooge, just said on Hardball that the press has no right to ask Palin questions and if the campaign sequestered her it was just fine with him..He's on MSNBC but I guess that comment sits just fine with all the media haters. They pick and choose which comments they approve of.
I hope that the more they goad the media the more determined the media will be to ferret out the "real" Sarah Palin--whom we have not yet seen.

you could do it with Hillary, but I don't think you will be able to do it with Sarah Palin, she has learned her lesson, and she won't shut up, her party is n ot throwing her under the bus, on the contrary, it is supporting her. The DNC did their best to eliminate Hillary, my only criticism towards her, not being to be brave enough to stand against her own party. So McSame now hates the media? How interesting. Just read an article in the NYT about John McSame hosting his birthday party in 2004 at a chi chi French restaurant. Among those invited included some of his favorite and adoring eletist media friends: Tim Russert, Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, and Bob Schieffer. With an invitation like this, one would think they are his personal friends and if so, how could they objectively report on or interview McSame with any objectivity. McSame has always adored and catered to the media and certainly never hesitated to give an interview until yesterday with Larry King. Didn't see Larry King's name mentioned as an attendee at the birthday party. McSame, the republicans, and his new best buddy "Snarky Sarah" are the real trash talkers. Vote Obama/Biden in 08.

But as the Anchorage Daily News points out, “She wasn’t doing this by shrinking government.” During her tenure, the budget of Wasilla (population 5,469 in 2000) “apart from capital projects and debt, rose from $3.9 million in fiscal 1996 to $5.8 million.”

When Palin left office in 2002, Wasilla had “racked up nearly $20 million in long-term debt,” or roughly $3,000 of debt per resident.
