GOP Crowd Boos NBC (VIDEO)

The folks over at MSNBC have become political scapegoats for the supporters of the candidate opposing Barack Obama. In the Democratic primary, backers of Hillary Clinton often quipped over what they deemed as unfair and often sexist coverage. In the general election the animosity between the McCain campaign and the peacock network has also spilled over into public.

So it was with as much humor as surprise that the crowd at the Republican Convention derided the network during the midst of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's speech Wednesday night. After the Alaska Governor ridiculed the media for conflating her outsider status with being unqualified, the crowd stood up in applause... then boos... then derisive chant.

"NBC, NBC, NBC," they declared, pointing their fingers at the Networks filing center in the stadium. It was a sharp moment during a wildly applauded address. The media, indeed, has become the uniting foe for the GOP.

Blaming the media for revealing your shortcomings is the lowest form of discourse, an appeal to ignorance magnified by one's feelings of insufficiency and un-preparedness and inability to fulfill the office in question. In other words, Mrs. Palin, if you are ready to lead then you are ready to absorb criticism. It comes with the territory. It’s a rough world out there. Keith Olbermann and sometimes Chucky T and even Mathews makes some uncomforatable commentary in the face of 8 long years of hell this country has been put through. God help us if they get another 4 years. There needs to be a plan - A plan that is made clear to all the public that 1/2 of the country will start to tear a part - no kidding! Tear a part this needs to be understood econimcally, strategically and politically.

There needs to be a form - a threat - followed up by reality of pay back. This will not be easy for those in their FREAK SHOW of extremeists. It will catch up to them.

I sat down to watch the Republican convention and saw a Felliniesque spectacle of Rome's last days. A standing ovation for a beauty queen who echoed their deepest fears, who promised nothing and seemed to offer everything. Whose family was used as a living advertising pitch for the overzealous extreme religious right-wing of the party. She was preceded by Maestro Guliani, who is now apparently a vaudevillian. He was out there to perform slapstick yuk-yuk for Ms. Yup-yup.

Already the plans are being laid for the next convention, featuring a three-ring circus with Chuck Norris battling a raging bull with BSE. There will be a slave auction, corndog eating contests, a book burning, embroidery class for all those scarlet letters to come, rapist's select-a-mother, and purity balls. All attendees will be safely protected by RFID tracking devices throughout the event by Blackwater mercenaries.
