Huckabee Slags Media In Off-Script Remarks

Mike Huckabee took a little off-script rhetorical trip to get in a jab at the political media tonight in St. Paul, saying:

I would like to thank the elite media for doing something that, quite frankly, I wasn't sure could be done. That's unifying the Republican party and all of America in support of Senator McCain and Governor Palin! The reporting for the past few days have proven tackier than a costume change at a Madonna concert.

Tacky coverage, eh? Yeah, I'll tell you, the word "tacky" came to mind this afternoon when I saw that they had flown Levi Johnston all the way out to Minnesota so that the cameras could capture him receiving Maverick's blessing. But that's Mike Huckabee, always the ironist.

Tacky? Not that I would ever think that Huckabee is in touch with what's hip and well designed but seriously? Has he even seen costumes from a Madonna concert? They are always designed by top fashion designers like D&G, Givenchy, Tom Ford, YSL... and the list goes on. When your point of reference is Janet Huckabee I wouldn't be so quick to throw around the word tacky.

I live in Pensacola, FL the home of Joe Scarborough, (the O'reilly of MSNBC) and more religious lunatics than you could imagine. This is really weird! These nuts could be right. If they are elected, this could signal the beginning of the end. I find it laughable that huckabeen felt the need to go after the "liberal media" when most of the media has been under the GOP White House's thumb for the last to presidential terms. I guess he was trying to be nice and not say NBC directly.
