The conservatives are actually happier that Bristol is pregnant, then they would be if she wasn't. The GOP is so twisted that they rejoice in a bad mistake, made worse and act like they are thrilled that single, teen, Bristol is with child.
I would like to ask these people is they would prefer that all single teen women get pregnant? Would they be more pleased is all single teen women were pregnant and chose to keep the baby then to never get pregnant at all??
I can't understand the twisted logic. No matter what, it is a mistake and a poor choice for a teen to get pregnant. It is a really poor choice for the teen parents to be uneducated and decide to stay that way. Why won't anyone mention this. US even keeps statistics on teen pregnancies at the more is not merrier!!

I really don't know what is going on. Maybe they are trying to divert attention away from the real story which are the radical views of this Sarah Palin
- she wants creationism taught in school - how many years will that put education back in America
- she tried to have books banned in library (IN AMERICA???)
- she tried to use the power of the governor to have a man fired (sounds like Nixon)
- she doesn't beleve human have affected climate change - that's dangerous for the whole planet
- she wants to DRILL, DRILL, DRILL as an energy policy - even T.Boone Pickens the oilman doesn't think we can drill our way out of our energy problems.

The Republican party has been hijacked by the radical right - I'm worried because they are tough and they are nasty and they think they have God on their side and will stop at nothing to win.

I hope reasonable Republicans (and I know and respect many of them) will be able to stop this!

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS has already commented on the contradictory nature of the mccain or palin campaign's use of her family. on one hand they need to be left alone, on the other hand we can use them to our benefit.

although we have to realize that many of those palin would appeal to might not watch the jon stewart show, many in the liberal media elite do . . . jon stewart's show tonite focused much on the contradictory statement of rep surrogates with themselves such as john mccain, sarah palin, karl rove, ptoffenher? and the right's contardictory application of values.

there is certainly danger ahead so sarah palin who will be off to alaska will be well guarded from sponaneous media, national media, etc. fair, perhaps. however, the contradiction is that she is a well guarded secret of executive experience -- one would include experience with the press.

i would also note another contradiction. i heard a rep surrogate state that the bar was set high and she hit it out of the park. no, the bar was not set high. she did however in many respects hit a triple. for a first speech one may have to wonder if she should have attacked so much and mentioned the bridge again. her homespun charm will likely disappear to many who would hear the tape of her laughing about the cruel jokes concerning lyda green. that's a vote loser.

If the tattoo is to show affection for her, way to go. It's a little bit weird, but who am I to judge these kids?
I say let them be. If he really loves her, she's lucky. It's too bad her mother wants other unwed teens to be without full support and education -- I guess there is always that exception for family.

She is not supporting the American people if she won't fund programs that would support Bristol if she were in dire straights without a supportive guy.

Bill O'Wrongly, as well as many of the "conservative" pundits, made a big deal out of Britney's little sister's pregnancy and Billo blamed the girl's pregnancy on the irresponsibility of the parents. The other comments were that the Hollywood crowd was setting a bad example for young girls everywhere.

I consider it the home run of hypocracy that they are all now cooing and congratulating the R VP on being a good mother, setting a good example for all conservatives to have the baby vs the other option.

In my opinion, Sarah Palin is not the loving mother she pretends to be. Why would a 17 year old need to get pregnant if she had a loving mother. She is seeking love, and now a child is having another child's baby. If they had thought about marriage, why wouldn't they get married before she started showing. Is the American public stupid or is this how people re act in Alaska.

I certainly wouldn't want her to be answering any phone at 3:00 a.m. What was she thinking? Yes, power and greed, she is the governor and the hell with raising and loving kids.
