I Like ItI Don’t Like It

When watching Joeseph Lieberman's Republican National Convention speech, one should remember that not so long ago the Connecticut Senator was touting himself as Barack Obama's mentor, political enabler, and firm advocate. Nowadays, of course, Lieberman's prerogative is to question his colleague's fitness to serve as commander in chief. His backing of John McCain takes precedent over past alliances.

With that in mind, a reader sends over this video from 2006, when the Connecticut Independent-Democrat promised to help Obama "reach to the stars" and "realize not just the dreams he has for himself but the dreams we all have for him and our blessed country."

Some help. How times and politics have changed.

"As far as I am concerned he is a Baruk, which means a blessing, he is a blessing to the United States Senate to America and to our shared hopes for a better safer tomorrow for all our families. The gifts that God has given to Barack Obama are as enormous as his future is unlimited. As his mentor, as his colleague, as his friend, I look forward to helping him reach to the stars and realize not just the dreams he has for himself but the dreams we all have for him and our blessed country."

Since I hail from the left -wing of the intell community--and Sen Obama is the candidate of my right-wing soon-to-be lavishly bailed-out colleagues, I have only one question.

How did American Left-Lliberals get so corrupted as to believe that London and Goldman-Sachs black-faced "poor peoples" candidate who managed to come up with an unlimited amount of laundered on-line money from anti-Clinton sources in Wall St and London--and was for real?

Apparently, they were born yesterday, or bought by Wall St., today.

In all fairness, Leiberman he did say Obama has a future in politics can can accomplish things. But he thinks Obama isn't ready. So maybe Leiberman (if Obama allows) will help him in the future. Who can tell?

Is he going to suture the stab wound he left in Obama's back? That would be so thoughtful...

Oh Joe, is it just no longer politically expedient to try to hitch a ride on the Obama train?

You never really did anything as a VP candidate (hedged your bets with your senate run, didn't you?)

Good bye Joe
You gotta go
Me oh my oh

I think the long since discredited Sen. Lieberman is helping Sen. Obama a great deal.

Joe had no problem in asking for Obama help support him when trying to gain the nomination for this senate run. Lieberman will have his day what goes around comes around.

Please....someone kick this jerk out of the party. Obama saved his tail and this is how he pays him back. He should have his A** kicked.

I an see disagreeing over the Iraq War. I can even see Lieberman deciding to endorse McCain given his support for the invasion of Iraq. But Obama went to bat for Lieberman in Connecticut in the Democratic primary won by anti-war candidate Ned Lamont in 2006. By that time Obama was a big name in Democratic circles and he did his best to help Lieberman win--even though they disagreed on foreign affairs. That Lieberman would now turn around and trash Obama's reputation--literally attack him in front of a bunch of howling Republicans--it's really the lowest of the low. Can't he support McCain without attacking Obama? The man has no sense of honor.
