Palin Files Ethics Complaint Against Herself

Anchorage Daily News:

Gov. Sarah Palin wants a state board to review the circumstances surrounding the dismissal of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan -- taking the unusual step of making an ethics complaint against herself.

Her lawyer sent an "ethics disclosure" Monday night to Attorney General Talis Colberg. The governor asked that it go to the three-person Personnel Board as a complaint. While ethics complaints are usually confidential, Palin wants the matter open.

The lawyer, Thomas Van Flein, also asked the state Legislature to drop its own investigation into the Monegan matter. He says the Personnel Board has jurisdiction over ethics.

Let's hear the truth about Palin wanting to ban books at the Wasilla library because she thought they were 'morally or socially objectionable" - to her... she ended up firing the librarian because the director wouldn't ban any books. Also she fired Wasilla's public works director, city planner, museum director and others. And she eventually said "No talking to the press without her permission­." NOW will be calling for a National Boycott of US Magazine. Their continued sexist comments towards Sarah Palin is absolutely disgraceful! I have cancelled my subscription and have urged my corporate headquarters marketing department to cancel our advertising indefinitely in US Magazine and urge other clients to do the same.

I am a life-long democratic woman who supported Hillary Clinton along with 18 million others. I keep hearing Democratic strategists declaring that we "disgruntled Hillary supporters" will not vote for McCain simply because he chose a woman to be his VP. But this is NOT TRUE!

I along with thousands of other Hillary supporters WILL be voting for McCain and Sarah Palin because we WANT to see a woman as VP and voters like myself see it as a brilliant move by McCain to reach out to us women voters.

The TVangelists threaten us of Roe V Wade being overturn but fail to mention that both Bush administrations were Pro-Life and women still have the right to chose.

When Colorado Democratic Party leader Billy Compton intimidated Sacha Millstone asking her to resign as a Delegate because she had second thoughts on Obama was outrageous! When the sexist/racist Emil Jones called Delmarie Cobb who supported Hillary an "Uncle Tom" infuriates us women!

I am asking other Democratic women to join us in sending a message to our Democratic Party Leadership that THEY do not chose our Nominee by intimidating elected Delegates into voting for THEIR choice..

So let me see if I get this right. When they realized Palin using the Attorney General as her private investigator was likely another abuse of power, they hired a lawyer whose only job is to obstruct these proceedings so we cannot get any clear determination of guilt before Nov 4th?

This lawyer also wants the case to go solely in front of the Personnel Board...wh­ich is both contrary to Alaskan State Law and may well be ANOTHER corruption bit as if I remember correctly, Palin was the one that hired all three members...

If she would have filed an ethics charge against herself before being the VP nominee that would be something the Republicans could of used in their defense of her. But to do it after the fact is a blatant ruse to try and turn a pig's ear into a silk purse.

Anyone representing her or who can be tied to the McCain camp and the Republicans that tries to delay or interfere with this investigation and the report on Oct. 31st needs to be publically tried for obstruction of justice.

For a group that say they are for the rule of law and justice the Republicans certainly spend a lot of time and energy avoiding and abusing both.
