Palin Files Ethics Complaint Against Herself

Anchorage Daily News:

Gov. Sarah Palin wants a state board to review the circumstances surrounding the dismissal of Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan -- taking the unusual step of making an ethics complaint against herself.

Her lawyer sent an "ethics disclosure" Monday night to Attorney General Talis Colberg. The governor asked that it go to the three-person Personnel Board as a complaint. While ethics complaints are usually confidential, Palin wants the matter open.

The lawyer, Thomas Van Flein, also asked the state Legislature to drop its own investigation into the Monegan matter. He says the Personnel Board has jurisdiction over ethics.

People should also know that the position of governor in Alaska is the one that picks the 3-person committee. I'm quite sure the three-person Personnel Board ( picked by Palin ) will have no problem quelling everything.

Simply, with it becoming an "official investigation", Pal in would not be permitted to make any comments on it until the investigation is complete - which is scheduled to happen .. after the election.

This is not sneaky. Palin fought the insider Republicans to get this ethics group established. To do so, she worked with Democrats in Alaska. She joined Democrats to get this done.

The Alaska Republicans were in bed with big oil, taking kick-backs, etc. It's stuff that sends people to jail for a long time.

Palin cleaned house. Big-time. She took them on and won.

I read the story of the brother-in-law. It's really not much of a story. But read the whole thing for yourselves. By the way, and this is an aside, did you know this brother-in-law used his stun gun issued by the State on animals for fun? (The guy is a apparently quite a piece of work.)

Seriously, it's fine to dislike Palin because she's anti-abortion or just because she's a darn Republican, but Democrats are on the wrong side of this story.

Her actions are what have brought this down on her, what she has done in the past reflects what she will do in the future.

The American public knows nothing about her and we want to know because we have had 8 years of BS and we want change. McCain never intended to pick this person she was never properly vetted or they would have never picked her, she is being used as a gimmick.

She says she is a reformer, but I can say I'm a billionaire till I'm blue in the face doesn’t make it so. Yea the right had a lot of corrupt politicians in Alaska, the party had to purge its self of those people or face defeat to who ever ran against them. If the Republican Party losses out so does big oil.
