Sarah Palin Gets Cover Of Us, OK! Magazines

In a continuation of the trend of celebrity magazines covering political figures this presidential campaign season, both Us Weekly and OK! feature John McCain's Vice Presidential pick Sarah Palin on their covers this week.

Us headlines its cover, "Babies, Lies, and Scandal" while OK!, which uses the same photo as Us, but flips it, goes with "A Mother's Painful Choice." Interestingly, OK! goes with a double-cover, seen below, with the alternative cover a picture of Barack and Michelle Obama from Thursday night's acceptance speech, also flipped horizontally, with the headline, "Life With My Girls."

Us featured the Obamas on its cover in June, to surprising newsstand success. People recently featured the Obamas as well, but with less successful newsstand results.

Why did the governor get amenocentesis when she does not believe in Abortions. What other reason is there to get one irif not to check on the viability of the child. Also why would she put her fetus in danger of being aborted with the proceedure. I am really puzzled by the little things. Who goes on a plane ride from Texas to Seattle and then take another to Alaska after their water breaks. ( Remember 4 prior pregnancies). What really happened is their business ( they can cover up what they must) but why make the average American with any knowledge of motherhood look stupid is beyond me.

Sarah Palin is right in the thick of the presidential campaign at this very moment as John McCain's VP pick.

Most of these articles have not been "vetted" and are short on facts and long on story. Just because you want it to be so - does not make it true. Certainly okay to advocate for your candidate but much of what is written in this forum is just not factual, so much so that several "stories" can easily be disproven as long on exagerration and short on actual facts. Facts are stubborn things. So, how about focusing on issues that face the American public instead of a couple of teenagers who do what many teenagers have done since the dawn of time. No one knows the facts but those two kids and they have made their choice. Get over them and focus on the Hollywood kids that want the attention.
