Alaska Police Union Files Complaint Against Palin

The GOP candidate for vice president, Gov. Sarah Palin, may be facing yet another ethics investigation back in her home state of Alaska. An ethics complaint obtained by NBC News was filed Wednesday by the police officers union in Alaska, requesting a probe into possible wrongdoing by the governor or her office. It was brought on behalf of state trooper Mike Wooten, an ex-brother-in-law of Palin who is at the center of the "Troopergate" scandal.

The complaint alleges that the governor or her staff may have have improperly disclosed information from Wooten's personnel records. The complaint alleges "criminal penalties may apply."

John Cyr, director of the union that filed the complaint, told NBC News, "It seems obvious to us somebody has improperly accessed [Wooten's] personnel file."

I've been wondering about Trooper Wooten.

Is he is much maligned by rumors. There is always 2 sides to a story.

I have read Alaskan blogs that offer up detail/gossip like the taser incident on Palin's nephew was a request by the boy. Must be a macho thing. Dumb certainly.
The killing of a moose without a permit was years back, and recently filed as a bunch of complaints against Wooten by the Palin family. Interestingly, allegedly cut up at Palin's dads place and shared amongst the family including Sarah and Todd.
That 26 or 24 complaints from the Palin family were filed and only a few were credible after investigation.

I don't know for sure, but I do wonder if this Trooper Wooten is being maligned?
How must it be affecting his kids?
It apparently has been going on for years.

I suppose we will hear his story eventually.

It's another bizarro thing from the Sarah Palin files, no? I mean I've wondered why the f*** no one called the police, had him arrested, filed a lawsuit against him, if there's truth to any of what the Palins allege. The guy is a father seeking custody of his child, the mother happens to be Palin's sister. I mean I guess I'm just baffled as to why not only wouldn't there have been arrests and lawsuits but not only was he promoted she gave him a glowing recommendation. Yeah he could well file a libel suit here and something tells me he might just do it.

Perhaps it has something to do with the actual complaints.

I did read he had been reprimanded on some and took unpaid leave for 5 or 10 days.

The object was, I believe, to stop him from being able to get or share custody of their children.

An unattractive image of Palin is forming for me.
