Newsweek:

The McCain team has hastily assembled a team of former Bush White House aides to tutor the vice-presidential candidate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, on foreign-policy issues, to write her speeches and to begin preparing her for her all-important Oct. 2 debate against Sen. Joe Biden.

Steve Biegun, who once served as the No. 3 National Security Council official under Condoleezza Rice at the White House, has been hired as chief foreign-policy adviser to the Alaska governor, campaign officials told NEWSWEEK. After taking leave from his job as vice president for international affairs at Ford Motor Co. last Friday, Biegun flew to St. Paul and, together with McCain's foreign-policy guru Randy Schuenemann, began briefings for Palin on national-security issues--an area where her resume is conspicuously thin.

If she's more experienced and more prepared to be president right now than Obama, then why would she need to be tutored in foreign policy?

She will be ready and any question she can not answer she will do the same thing mccain does, say something about never surrendering.

Might as well prop an inflatable doll up at the podium and be done with it. That's another $100 of my hard earned money that's going to the Obama campaign next payday.

Actually anyone in the Bush administration should not give anyone pointers on foreign policy. They have managed in less than 8 years to make this country hated the world round, so from that track record they should not be training anyone else, unless of course they want more of the same.

Thank you Birdman, my thoughts exactly.
If this Larry and Moe team get elected, we are in some deep SH**!! Won't be long before we are in Georgia, no troops to spare, but we will be there looking for terrorist and whatever Palin's God tells her is out there.
If elected, this country will go to hell in a handbasket, personally delivered to the firey gates by Larry McSame and Moe Palin.

It's time to bring Donald Rumsfeld, Douglas Feith and Paul Wolfowitz back out front where they can coach The Sarracuda.

Yeah that sounds great: Getting foreign policy lessons from Bush aides. The ones that knew that the US troops would be greeted as liberators, that Iraq had WMDs, the ones that build such a powerful coalition of the willing.

Come on, getting foreign policy advice from Bush is like getting abstinence only lessons from Charlie Sheen.

She first needs to learn about the lower 48 states. Can McCain help with geography?

...and so she can talk about something other than hockey and dressing a moose (I need to look that up--no moose here in Los Angeles).

By the way, now that she's coached, what does she think about Syria hinting at direct talks with Israel? What's France's role in all this (has she met Sarkozy?), and would she and McCain deny a U.S. role in these talks because conditions have not been laid? Syria's president, Bashar al-Assad says they've been waiting for 8 years for the U.S. to be an arbiter of talks in the ME. I doubt that but they're awaiting the outcome of the elections to see if the U.S. is willing to take a seat at the table. Who should we send?

She's got a lot on her plate. Catch up to Biden on foreign policy, take care of that new baby, get that shotgun wedding off the ground, interviews with Faux. ( won't be hard.....they'll be soft on her ), lawyer-up for the scandals that she's involved in.

Whewwww! Just thinking about it makes me dizzy.
I'm sure I forgot several things.
