Newsweek:

The McCain team has hastily assembled a team of former Bush White House aides to tutor the vice-presidential candidate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, on foreign-policy issues, to write her speeches and to begin preparing her for her all-important Oct. 2 debate against Sen. Joe Biden.

Steve Biegun, who once served as the No. 3 National Security Council official under Condoleezza Rice at the White House, has been hired as chief foreign-policy adviser to the Alaska governor, campaign officials told NEWSWEEK. After taking leave from his job as vice president for international affairs at Ford Motor Co. last Friday, Biegun flew to St. Paul and, together with McCain's foreign-policy guru Randy Schuenemann, began briefings for Palin on national-security issues--an area where her resume is conspicuously thin.

Put Joe Lieberman behind her, so he can whisper the correct info in her ear when she screws up..

Bush was unable to learn. What makes you think she can learn. She doesn't even have a college degree.

Maybe they can get her up to the Dana Perino level of foreign policy expertise. Might as well give it a try.

Since none of the posters here are US Senators(I'm assuming), I take it that you too know nothing about what goes on outside of your town, state, or country.

Someone nominated for vice president should not need coaching on foreign policy.

Unqualified, unqualified, unqualified.

McCain is weak in history and geography and Palin is completely ignorant of anything outside Alaska.

God help us if the idiots in this country force them on us.

Thirty days of coaching is not going to cut it. Sen Biden has 35 years on the job. No contest in my book when they debate. I see Sen Biden the clear winner here.

Vote Nov 4th for the winning ticket Obama/Biden!!!

What happened to the story that both Palin and her husband support secessionist party AIP? I noticed last night that she had a shot about being proud of her country. If so, why did she and/or her husband support an Alaska secession group?

If Sarah is the answer, it must have been a pretty stupid question.

Foreign policy by devine/personal diplomacy. "W" looks Putin in the eyes and sees his soul. Putin sees absolutely nothing but vapor in W's" Putin not real helpful with the Iran nuklr problem--so "W" and Condi (our cold war expert) pump up the head of Georgia (who speaks better english than "W"). Ooops there goes Georgia--piece by piece. No problem "W" will give them $1B for reconstruction--and promises to help them defend themselves--again. Then Condi tells Putin we will put missles in Poland and Czechoslovakia pointed at Putin. But Vlad (as "W" calls him) has seen the vapor in "W's" eyes--and knows he can do the same to us from Cuba and Venezuela. And that my friends is how you become a cold war expert (redo). Who says we didn't have a foreign policy? Only the timing hasn't been quiet right to really scare the beejeezus out of the electorate--yet!

So the RNC admits that she knows nothing about foreign policy.

HEY DNC: Time run that 3AM ad featuring Sarah Palin on the phone. You know, after McCain's ticker goes *pop*.

Funny to see who's crying today..

Look at all the Republican operatives leading the crocodile tears of pain for Palin. I love it when they issue a command that "this will stop now" and just expect the press to kow tow. Blood in the water is an apt phrase, these are literally the same guys who brought you such classics as the Clinton impeachment, Swiftboat veterans for "truth", the Vince Foster "murder", Gore invented the internet, Kerry is a liar, Hillary is a lesbian, Slimed veteran Democratic senators and House members as traitors etc etc.

And now the thug Wingnuts are all crying because they have finally been shown to have no clothes, in public. The press will not and should not stop on command, there is too much profit and humor in it. Palin is a creationist cheerleader who has no business whatsoever being on a Presidential ticket
