A Roseland Catholic church and rectory where Barack Obama once had an office are on the market, Chicago Real Estate Daily reports.
CB Richard Ellis Inc. is marketing Holy Rosary church, 11300 S. Martin Luther King Drive, which closed at the end of June, and the adjacent rectory, 351 E. 113th St., for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Sen. Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, worked out of an office in the rectory in the late 1980s when he was working on the Developing Communities Project, according to CB Richard Ellis. The 300-seat church is 10,000 square feet and the rectory is 5,800 square feet.
The broker refused to disclose the asking price for the far South Side property.
