Washington Post:

Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman is among several national security experts helping brief Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on foreign policy issues as she prepares to hit the campaign trail while cramming for a debate with her Democratic opponent, Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (Del.), in less than a month, according to officials from Sen. John McCain's campaign.

Lieberman, who was the 2000 Democratic vice presidential nominee but is now an independent, has helped introduce Palin to officials of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the leading pro-Israel lobby. In a meeting Tuesday, the day before she delivered her prime-time address at the Republican National Convention here, Palin assured the group of her strong support for Israel, of her desire to see the United States move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and of her opposition to Iran's aspirations to become a nuclear power, according to sources familiar with the meeting.

So Joe, what's it like, having to tutor your buddy's Republican VP candidate on foreign policy? I bet this is a first in your long career as a Democrat--having to tutor a "colleague" on such basics. Does that send up any red flags about your new party? What about your buddy's excellent foreign policy judgment--judgment you thought was much wiser than Obama's? Well, your buddy obviously doesn't find his VP choice's lack of foreign policy knowledge and experience troubling. Doesn't that reflect on his own lack of foreign policy judgment?

How does it feel that your buddy really wanted YOU as his VP, passed on you because so many in his party don't like you, and then begged you to please stick around and help Sarah Palin cram for a test that you--had you been selected--wouldn't even have to study for?

I looked for signs during your speech that you were endorsing Palin almost against your will. That you're bitter, and that the real you is appalled at the choice of Palin. But I didn't see it.

Pathetic.

If he can just get her to keep her Sunnis and Shia straight (they're both Godless right?) and away from the Iraq/Pakistan border she'll be just fine since she has the Russia piece already in her pocket.

Does Lieberman really deserve his own button anymore? He's on his way out.

There is no questions that the bars been lowered by both sides. There's no question Palin lacks foreign policy experience. However, let me remind Democrats that many of them didn't want Obama to be their nominee because he also lacked experience including foreign policy. Just because he's had time to acquire foreign policy knowledge during the campain, please don't equate that with experience. People seem to forget that knowledge does not equal experience. A 20-year fan of football does not equal 20 years of coaching. So Democrats really have no grounds to criticize Palin unless they also criticize Obama. Republicans, on the other hand, won't fool anybody into thinking Palin has experience even if she does well during the VP debate. The question I have for everyone, is how should we define experience? Some will say its years in the Senate or Governorship. But would Democrats say Bush is more qualified than Obama? Would Republicans say McCain is more qualified than Jimmy Carter? On another note, what is more important? Experience on foreign policy? National security?, Domestic policy? Executive leadership? Each party will always focus on the strengths of their candidate and the weakness of the other party's candidate. The bottom line? Each party will always prefer their own candidate even if he or she has less "experience" than the other party's candiate.

I hope Joe and Zell Miller get along well. After this election, Joe will be joining Zell in the state of oblivion.

This senator is a deep mole planted by the Mossad.

He will switch parties as many times as he needs to, in order to do the bidding of his masters in Tel Aviv.

He should just immigrate to Israel and leave us alone.

Most new organizations also have people who are on Mossad's or at leat AIPAC's payroll

They should all move to Israel

Oh, good. Joe will make sure that we have another Israel First, USA Second advocate in the Republican party. What happened to this country that our foreign policy apparently is dictated through people like Joe Lieberman by their masters in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv?

Joe Lieberman, whose party affiliation and loyaty goes to the highest bidder, is going to teach foreign policy to Palin. So where's the "change"? BTW, since JL seems to be solidly in the Repub camp, how long until he announces what we already know, and threatens the Dem majority in the Senate?

I'm sorry, but McCain, Obama and Biden have been studying the huge national and international issues of the world for most of their adult lives. Sarah Palin has been a hockey mom (not that there's anything wrong with that). Anyone can be taught to "remember" something but to fully grasp and understand the issues takes time. I'm not certain she'll be able to pull off something truly convincing in less than three weeks.

Anyway I am so over her, I saw her and I am not impressed, she was just a gimmick by the Rebubs, in a desperate plea.
