New York Times:

Senator Barack Obama will increasingly lean on prominent Democratic women to undercut Gov. Sarah Palin and Senator John McCain, dispatching Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to Florida on Monday and bolstering his plan to deploy female surrogates to battleground states, Obama advisers said Thursday.

Mrs. Clinton's campaign event in Florida, her first for Mr. Obama since the Democratic convention, will serve as a counterpoint to the searing attacks and fresh burst of energy that Ms. Palin injected into the race with her convention speech on Wednesday, Obama aides said.

There are only eight people who can sway this election. The two Presidential nominees, their wives, their running mates and Hillary And Bill Clinton. Axelrod's sliming of the Clinton bothers us her supporters but Hillary is too smart, too tough and too dedicated to the issues to carry a grudge. She will be as good as gold for Obama and Biden. I do not know how she does it. After her supporters were labled hillbillie racists on blogs like this, after we worked our entire lives for Civil rights and to elect black candidates she should spit in DNC's eye - but she stands up , brushes herself off and gets back game. The bloggin frat boys and TV pundits will say she's "plotting" but the only thing she has "plotted" in her life is the enhancement of everyday people's lives.

She will take Sarah down

What about the smears she used (that McCain is now using) and the racist things said by her and her surrogates?
Get real and stop the denial.
Obama's campaign is being smart as usual and getting female surrogates to deal with this because otherwise anything said by men, you and people like you and the McCain camp will cry sexism no matter how fair and legitimate the criticism..

i hate to tell you. there are only two people who can sway this election -- Obama and McCain. Biden and Palin are only window dressing. But I must say, that McCain's selection of Palin makes him look much more confident and forward looking. Obama's selection of Biden makes him look to the past and to someone who has to fill out for him the gap in his resume; it also makes him look insecure in not choosing Hillary, who almost beat him. It makes him appear as if he cannot deal with a competent and strong woman. He was afraid she would overshadow him. I bet if Hillary had almost beaten McCain, he would have chosen her without any hesitation.

you all can try to blame, bill and hillary for the outcome. if obama wins, Obama deserves the credit -- not Hillary or Bill or Biden or Dean or Kerry or anyone else. If he loses, Obama deserves the credit for the loss also.

Too many of Clinton's supporters are racists. They've proven that with their comments and deeds. I want to know why she did not speak up right after Palin made her speech? Must be Hill and Bill are still trying to blackmail Obama into paying their campaign bills. Ain't gonna' happen, sport. Anyway, what goes around, comes around; her supporters can sit or vote McCain, fine, then you can watch NY's black voters sit out her re-election bid too the senate as she goes down in flames. It's called 'gettin' even'.

So, Palin wants to be the "Pit Bull" but if we attack back we'll be picking on the poor little hockey-mom from Wasilla. It's always "heads I win tails you lose" over in right-wing world.

The ironic subtext to Sarah Palin, despite the hype, is "You can't hit her -- she's a girl!"

The further irony is that the very people that they are seeking support from are precisely those with the psychlological profiles most likely to beat up on girls.

absolutely not. the craziness, which does not help obama is that people are going after her daughter. and before that they went after the Down's Syndrome child. here on huff post, there were multiple repeats of the rumor that the baby wasn't hers. that is stupid and mean. go after her record with facts. but be careful, because her record is pretty good.

As Arianna said on Larry King Live last night, the Rethugs are exploiting the Palin soap opera to gloss over the fact that McCain and Bush are ideological clones. Hillary and other Democratic surrogates should confront the McCain-Palin ticket forcefully on the issues but avoid personal attacks. The last thing the Obama campaign wants is the emergence of a "Hillary vs. Sarah catfight" media narrative that will divert attention from the issues.

I am a Kucinich guy. After he went out, I would vote dem, but I did not care who.

I just sent Hillary money because I really appreciated her convention speech.
She reminded me about supporting the cause.

I will sent her more money for supporting O. I appreciate that, too.

SP is dangerous. Do not underestimate her, or her attraction to the low information voter.

Thank you, Hillary.

The low information voter. Karl Rove's gold mine... how he understands them.
Obama wont lower himself to LIV level, which is commendable, but he isnt quite there with the policies educated people want to hear about. His health care plan aint happenin, he woos AIPAC, he supports faith based initiatives, hes ready to send troops to Afganastan and probably Georgia which will end up a disaster.... too many college grads I know are still not sure.

hillary shouldnt help obama after he snubbed her. she'll use the same attacks on her as she used on obama about experience. all that will come back to hurt obama.

but hillary is a shark and palin is a barracuda.

this is a falsehood and it will backfire if it is used. she is conservative but she is a lot more moderate in her conservatism than the caricature you are trying to paint.

Palin "also drew the ire of the religious right by shelving calls for new abortion limits, when she worried it would distract from her bipartisan deal to push through a new gas pipeline. She forced through property-tax cuts, but also raised taxes on oil companies. She has close relations with organized labor, backing union contracts on a state pipeline.

Gov. Palin throughout her career has consistently positioned herself as a reformer, a stance that led her to tangle repeatedly, in Wasilla and Juneau, with people she considered opponents, sometimes driving them from office."

Disagree..Hillary next to Palin, elevates Palin. MSM already anointing her. She can't be ignored though...that's like Kerry ignoring the Swift Boaters No! Bring out her real record. She's saying: READ MY LIPS, NOT MY RECORD. Hillary as to clear the way for Biden by saying "she can dish it out, but can she take it?" Take the charge of sexism out of asking questions to someone who want to lead this nation. Don't underestimate Palin. She's snide and smug....use that against her

McCain's choice of a small-minded mean-spirited bully, when he could have chosen any number of respected Republican women leaders, will backfire.

if you bothered to find out anything about her real record, you wouldn't call her these names. and the fact that she is being attacked in this fashion -- as hillary was -- will only backfire when she proves as she did in her speech that she is not an idiot. by using these false and nasty attacks, you are just making it easier for her to win. if the run-up to her speech had not painted her as a total incompetent, she wouldn't have looked so good in delivering her speech. and if her experience as a small town mayor had not been used by obama to trash her, she would not have been able to deliver the line comparing mayors to community organizers.

hillary is a class act. palin is running for VP not President. if hillary attacks Palin on experience, it will only reflect back on Obama's lack of experience. remember, it was not just hillary who questioned obama's experience. biden himself said that obama was too inexperienced and that the presidency was no place for on the job training. and when questioned about it durin a debate, biden said: "i stand by my statement" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAaLEJwkh9c

so beware of this attack.

Palin's identity is being locked in by FOX and the other "news" outlets. So facts about her record as mayor and governor will be either ignored or diluted. Sure, HuffPost and like venues will get it but mass dissemination is unlikely unless it comes from Hillary. "News"outlets likely to cover her. It's especially important the FIRST TIME she goes out in a public setting.

Hillary needs to cite the Alaska newspaper's mixed review of Palin's record, and other facts about what she's done. This is the way to blunt Palin and dampen the right wingers enthusiasm. Other Dem women won't get the mass media coverage that Hillary will. MSM will try to make it a Hillary VS Sarah bit....which could work for Dems if Hillary gets the facts out. Please spread this post.

TV media seems to love her. This is really something of concern, because of the power of the low information voter. It is not just Faux.

SP economic record is really poor. As mayor she got $27 mil of Fed earmarks, yet left Wasilla with $22 mil of long term debt, despite inheriting a no-debt town.

She also cut tax for the rich (property), and raised taxes on the poor (sales tax, including food).

However, the supermarket tabloids seem to love her for a different reason.

Media bias can only exist without recognition. Call it where you see it, loud and clear. Remember the media-inspired feud between O and H?

The media love P because she is selling papers and air-time, not because she is a person of substance. Look at Paris and Britney for affirmation of this.

supermarket tabloids says it all.

These guys sale drama and they hit the mother lode with the Palin pick .
There has not been a factually thing to tumble out of this women's mouth the salacious scandals have more selling power than anything Brittany Spears has even imagined.

Journalistic ingegrity if a fond memory - just view how Palin was praise to the masses while the talking heads are on; but thinking they are not being recorded it is a very different message remember these are the people that sold us the war for ratings.

Not to mention the GOP lies best enjoyed by viewing the Jon Steward clips of contradictions.
