John McCain's daughter Meaghan and Sarah Palin's youngest daughter, Piper, made a video the day after her mother was announced as the GOP's Vice Presidential nominee. Palin has accused the media and democrats of attacking her family. On the flip side, Palin has been accused of being too public with her family.

Well, I know that all my friends and I watched both Palin and McCain performances and we are all Democrats with a couple of Independents. So I know for sure that the ratings were up on the Republicans because we made it happen. I also don't know if you know this but after Palin's speech Obama got a huge amount in donations. The way I see it is that while Palin was able to get the Conservative base excited (which you need anyway if you have any chance of winning), she also got us Democrats up and reaching for our wallets. Go ahead...ge­t excited but not this time buddy...no­t this time.

Maybe people should wait to have kids until they can afford them? After all abortion is legal and birth control is readily available. Maybe people from towns w/o opportunity can improve themselves by actually studying in school and getting a scholarship. It can be done!

I can't stand when slickly produced video propaganda, whether corporate or political, is masqueraded as a single person's video blog. You can't tell me this piece of tripe wasn't edited, vetted, and designed by Republican propagandists. It's obvious, it's disgusting, and the antithesis of what video blogging is supposed to be about.

Plus, since they are actively and publicly campaigning for their parents, the "my family is off limits" no longer applies (at least for the McCain kid). They are officially "public figures" and are subject to analysis and ridicule.
