Barack Obama gave an interview to George Stephanopoulos on ABC's This Week. The interview is set to air tomorrow morning, but here are some excerpts released by ABC.

On The Decision To Intervene On Behalf Of Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac

Intervention was necessary. I'm inclined to support some form of intervention to prevent a long-term, much bigger crisis...We are not bailing out shareholders and investors and management. They were making a lot of money because of the lack of regulation. All those profits were private. We don't want to make all those losses suddenly public and they get away without taking a haircut...We are going to have to take a look at how we regulate the financial markets and mortgages markets going forward.

On McCain's Choice Of Sarah Palin As His Running Mate

He chose somebody who may be even more aligned with George Bush - or Dick Cheney, or the politics we've seen over the last eight years - than john McCain himself is...She wouldn't be governor of Alaska is she wasn't a skilled politician, and I think her performance at the convention showed what a skilled politician she is.

"Let's not play games," he said. "What I was suggesting -- you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you're absolutely right that that has not come."

Mr. Stephanopoulos interrupted with, "Christian faith."

Had this comment come from Sarah Palin, it would be on the front page of the NY Times, People Magazine, and the lead story on MSNBC. As it is, this is probably the first and last we'll hear of it.

WHAT OBAMA NEEDS TO DO TO WIN THE ELECTION!

Republicans say they support: Smaller Gov't, Fiscal Responsibility, Balanced Budget, State Rights, and Family Values

Republicans say they are against: Nation Building, War without a clear cut strategy & exist strategy

OBAMA NEEDS TO MAKE THE CASE THAT REPUBLICANS NEVER DO WHAT THEY SAY!!! AND REPUBLICANS CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH ANOTHER FOUR YEARS!!!!

McCain and Palin talk of Reformers but it's just empty rhetoric. Prove your case Mr Obama and Mr Biden. It should be easy to point out their untruths.

The Obama Campaign came out Blazing Today

Obama took down this Week with GS
Biden mopped the floor on Meet the Press
Robert Gibbs just tore McCain Spoke Person a part on Late Edition
Tim Kaine also did a take down! Carville was right behind
And the final Knock Out, Senator Boxer demolished John McCain, you almost felt sorry for Kay Bailey Hutchinson for being forced to defend John McCain and the PTA Lady

I was looking on You tube and saw this video. I think that you all should look at this. Remember when John McCain said that they were going to scale back the Republican National Convention while the hurricane was coming? Well it appears that they did not really scale back as ABC shows that they continued to party and meet with their lobbyist friends, and get drunk ,and just show no kind of empathy for what was going on with the lives of the people in New Orleans. I think this is a clear display of how out of touch the people in the republican party really are!!

I also want to say that when a fellow Obama supporter post a video of good information, I hope that we take the time to watch it ,and let as many people know the truth as we can. This video is from ABC

In a 7 Sep interview with Mike Allen, Obama says he once considered joining the military. He states he graduated from high school in 1979. He also states that he had to sign up for selective service when he graduated from high school. The truth is that select service wasn't reinstated until June 1980. If he remembers registering when the program was not in existence, maybe he never registered.

He had to sign up when he went to Law school on scholarship. So did my boys. They all went to College after 1980..your point?

I watched the program this am and while it was a great thing to have Obama on the "round table" discussion left me disgusted as the Obama message was turned ovr to McCain and Palin and how wonderful she was without much said about the troubles that the true vetting by others have shown about Palin. That she gave a speech that someone else wrote and pulled it off has made people believe she wrote the speech and she could not have written it. Too soon after her "accepting" the position for her to have done that. Also not too many things said by McCain were not written also by others and he just read his lines. That McCain had some many viewers post the Palin speech has been turned by MSM including George S into actual supporters of McCain. I beleive the country wanted to heat what he was going to say and promise which doesn't mean they all plan to vote for him now. I do wish at many points that Obama is not the man he is and would allow the lies and slams to go right back at the lies and slams Mccain's camp is doing as the basty lies find homes when people believe them and never stop and see the lies as lies.

NEW PLAN SUGGESTION. Every time ole McCain/Palin attacks Obama/Biden send Obama $5.00
and let them know which Lie or Slam of the ole McCain it was for. Wow Rich Obama. Would be fun to ask HuffPo to set up a counter at the top of each post or on home page and every time you sent $5.00 - you could click once! Wow - fun but also makes a statement. ???

McCain the "No surrender" warrior surrendered to the agents of intolerance and right-wing extremist

for this
She didn"t say "no thanks" to the "Bridge to Nowhere" until after Congress had already abandoned it but given Alaska a blank check for $223 million in taxpayers" money anyway. Far from rejecting federal pork, she hired lobbyists to secure her town a disproportionate share of earmarks ($1,000 per resident in 2002, 20 times the per capita average in other states). Though McCain claimed "she has had national security as one of her primary responsibilities," she has never issued a single command as head of the Alaska National Guard. As for her "executive experience" as mayor, she told her hometown paper in Wasilla, Alaska, in 1996, the year of her election: "It"s not rocket science. It"s $6 million and 53 employees." Her much-advertised crusade against officials abusing their office is now compromised by a bipartisan Ethics Investigation into charges that she did the Same.

The Mayor's office in Wasilla is the size of an outhouse. When she left the City budget was not even balanced and in debt.

Enough!! I just printed some voter registration forms off the internet and attatched prepaid and preadressed envelopes I am delivering to my friends who have never registered to vote....all working in low paying jobs with very little education....the ones waiting for their pink slips.

If you are registered to vote great; if you are not please hurry time is running out.

The attached link is great. It allows you to register, request absentee ballots and also tells you where early voting is taking place. (I advise everyone to photocopy their absentee ballots)
College students; make sure you get an absentee ballot if you won't be able to vote in your college town.
Military members also remember to register and vote with your absentee ballot. Your voice means so much!
Please utilize this important information¦.

This nightmare must end on November 4, 2008

Senator O*bama messed up while answering George and said "my muslim faith" while trying to say the repuke are saying that he's muslim. Look to see that sound byte on right wing nut case blogs and youtube.

People PLEASE register to vote before October 3rd. If possible request an absentee ballot and vote EARLY. I am not taking any chances with the republicans this year; they like to disenfranchise voters, especially minorities.

So, if you don't have to deal with them on November 4th - do NOT!

In Maryland you can request an absentee ballot. The deadline is October 28. PLEASE, vote and vote early!

The more I hear the republicans, the worse it seems to get. OMG, what is happening to our country?

We need to wake up and take our country back from the people who do not have our best interest at heart. We have been manipulated, lied to, and managed by the corporate elite since the day we were born and it doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon. That's why it's time for US, you and me, to regain our common sense and bring order back into our lives.

Common sense tells us that when someone has lied to us, we should NOT believe them again? Especially if they never apologized for lying previously. Why would you want to accept anything past the lies as the truth? You don't lie one time and then change in midstream.

One candidate has lied on numerous occasions constantly. Why do you believe he's telling the truth now? Why are we giving these people the opportunity to persuade us that whatever they are saying is NOW the truth?

Think for yourself for a change. If it doesn't feel right, then it isn't right. If it doesn't sound right, then it isn't right. If it doesn't make you feel good, then it is not good. If it doesn't explain to you how things will change to help you, then what good is it?
Stop playing Russian Roulette with your life!

Your life depends on YOU!

I caught Obama on George Stephanopou-lousy's show this morning, surfing back and forth to Tom Brokaw and Joe Biden. The real juices flowed between Biden and the cantankerous and partisan Brokaw. Biden wasn't taking any half-baked insinuations and put old crusty in his place. I never realized how much I missed the candor, niceness and honesty of Tim Russert until now. Obama held his own with George but it was Biden who held my attention. Biden is no one's patsy. He is the best possible choice for the veep who is a heart beat away from the presidency.

OBAMA/BIDEN'08.
