Inhofe Questions Whether Obama "Really Loves His Country"

Some harsh talk from Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK):

Regardless of what polls show, Inhofe said, voters will have to ask themselves a question once they get behind the curtain in the voting booth on Election Day.

"Do you really want to have a guy as commander in chief of this country when you can question whether or not he really loves his country?" he asked.

"That's the big question.''

The story quotes an Obama aide criticizing Inhofe's remarks, then a runs a "clarification" from Inhofe that seems just as harsh:

"Let me be clear,'' he said.

"I am not questioning Sen. Obama's patriotism, but you have to question why at times he seems so obviously opposed to public displays of patriotism and national pride, like wearing an American flag lapel pin.''

The message coming out of Minneapolis sure does seem to have crystallized: McCain's a patriot, Obama...not so much.

Be objective. When you see what kind of church Obama attended for 20 years (for some strange reason), add in his refusal to wear a flag lapel pin (for some strange reason), mix in big speeches in Europe (for some strange reason), and add in the occassional gaffe, it's pretty easy to see why a lot of people question BHO's patriotism.

And all the while, Sarah Palin's pastor openly says he hates America, her husband has been a member of AIP which supports seceding from the US, she has been caught in lie after lie that noone seems to care about, she has outright lied about Obama's record and stances and as far as I have seen has yet to wear the flag pin. And let's not talk about her gaffes or those of McCain. It's pretty easy to see why a lot of people also do not trust and support this ticket.

I question Inhofe's love for this country, democracy, science and humanity. There's some evidence that Inhofe would support an authoritarin regime change in the U.S. either fascist or theocratic. Inhofe is a scourge to this country. Those who love our democracy should remove him from all power.

I was worried about people questioning my patriotism, so I had a flag pin surgically pinned to my heart. I also had the beautiful visage of Betsy Ross and the serene face of Abigail Adams tattooed one on each of my respective kidneys.

Not to beat a dead horse, but since the horse keeps reanimating: This is not about patriotism, it's about racism.

For almost two years, we've been hearing: We don't know who he is; He's not one of us; He’s too exotic; He doesn't share our values; He's not a true American; He's a celebrity.

No matter how many times O tries to explain his views, his story, his love for this country, it's NEVER enough. And it never will be, as long as his skin is dark.

Now, with just one 20 minute speech full of condescension and pettiness: She's our girl; She's one of us; She understands our small town values; She's a true American.

They don't need to know anything else about this woman. They don't care about her extreme views or her fanatical obsession with loyalty. They don’t care about her associations with secessionists or her overzealous charismatic church that wants to usher in the end times.
